Decent hotel, hotel amenities are extraPosted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness, staff, location (very close to Yosemite)
Cons: The hotel charges for EVERY activity they offer on their location.
Location: Yosemite is very close.
Overall our experience at the lodge were ok. We decided to splurge and get a cottage vs. a hotel room. The cottage itself was nice. We were upgraded to a top cottage vs one of the two lower cottages/building. The room was spacious and clean. The location was in walking distance of the hotel.

Nice resort close to YosemitePosted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: Very close to Yosemite. Pretty upscale resort. Discovery Yosemite tour picks up from the hotel lobby and provides full day tour of Yosemite
Cons: More options for food.
Location: Yosemite-- not much else needs to be said
Overall a positive experience. The resort is pretty and very close to the south entrance to Yosemite. We stayed in one of the cottages. Rooms are small but slept 2-4 comfortably. There was a fireplace with gas logs that kept the room nice and toasty. Bathrooms have been given a makeover, with marble counters and tiles, but still shows age. The toilet was incredibly loud (and powerful). My main gripe with the hotel is that, if you go during "off season" (we went in middle of March), it seems like half the resort shuts down. There were 2 restaurants open, the Jackalope and Sierra, both of which were overpriced. If you don't feel like blowing $100-150 per meal for a family of four, you have to leave the hotel and find food somewhere else, and there really isn't much in the area. We ended up driving 13 miles down the hill to Oakhurst a couple of times. Not a big deal but inconvenient to say the least. The hotel does have a restaurant that serves pizza and looks reasonably priced, but it was closed for the season.

Beautiful ResortPosted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Very peaceful and beautiful surroundings, many things to do just at the lodge.
Cons: There are some nice leather couches in main lobby would have been nice to have tables bewteen them you could play games on.
Location: Would recommend the Discover Josemite tour booked through the resort we had a fantastic tour guide named Grant.
Very close to entrance into Yosemite. Loved the big fireplaces and the fire rings through out the property. Ice skating was nice touch and very nice indoor pool. We stayed in the cottages and loved the fireplaces that double as heaters.

Top Notch ServicePosted Feb 22, 2015
We received awesome service from the moment we pulled into the car valet. @ 12 midnight. After we checked in at the front desk we asked for a valet cart for our luggage. We were told to drive our car to the entry close to our room. There we were greeted by a gentleman who unloaded our luggage, took it to our room, parked our car and returned with our valet ticket. His actions indeed set the tone for what turned out to be an awesome weekend.

Weekend GetawayPosted Feb 9, 2015
I recently stayed here for a quick trip away with my kids. The indoor pool and restaurants were great. I felt the arcade could have had a better selection of games and could have been cheaper. The staff was friendly and accommodating. When the pool was out of inner tubes they were kind enough to bring more out for my kids. They have an outside fire pit which was great to make smores. Also have an ice skating ring but we didn't get a chance to try it out. You really don't need to leave unless you want to head to Yosemite for the day. I would definitely come back to this place. It is a nice hotel reasonably priced and great for families.
