Pines ResortPosted Apr 9, 2014
Nice place and we would definitely return. The restaurant (bar and grill was closed) was good! Everything you might need is there, little store, restaurants and helpful staff. Really basic chalet but definitely met our needs.

We had a wonderful stay at Pines Resort.Posted Apr 9, 2014
We stayed at King size bed chalets . There was a living room with sofa bed and kitchen upstairs, and king size bed room with bathroom downstairs. There also was a loft. Lots of room!! We were a family of four really enjoyed staying there. Also staffs were all helpful and friendly. We will definitely choose this place again!

Close to Yosemite.Posted Mar 31, 2014
Great location on Bass Lake. Older place with out dated appliances. Old school T.V. for I.e. We had a great view of the lake. The biggest problem for us was that it was not clean. The bed sheets were clean but there was visible dust, dirt and cobwebs in every room. If I owned this place the first thing I would do is fire the housekeeper. Really terrible.

Best experience at the best lodge!Posted Mar 30, 2014
Absolutely pleasantly surprised at the quality of this lodge. The location was stunning, with everything we needed on site. All the people from hotel staff to deli personnel were all eager to have a chat and added great service. The rooms were massive and very clean, with the most relaxing feel that was definitely required after a Vegas stop! The ONLY thing was wireless doesn't work too well, but to be expected near mountains and out of a city. We loved our time here we even booked an extra night! Thanks so much Pines Resort, from your Aussie travellers!

This hotel is a great option if you want to avoid the high prices of the hotels within Yosemite.

Amazing hotel staffPosted Mar 23, 2014
Pros: The staff and the solitude in the evening
Cons: Ensuring all of the amenities are in good working order?
Location: The location is heaven on earth and a half hour away from Yosemite National Park which was my main reason for going to that area.
Maureen is one amazing woman who made my stay most enjoyable. Her extensive knowledge of the local area trails and sights were invaluable to me. She went out of her way and photocopied various maps which made finding these local diamonds in the ruff a lot easier. Unfortunately the hot tub was not working which was very disappointing after a long day of hiking. The area is very nice and all the staff were great and most helpful. The store next door charged a lot more than a store in Oakhurst which is only a 20 minute drive at most. Perhaps if the prices were more in line I would have shopped there more frequently.

Just a place to sleepPosted Mar 18, 2014
Booked this hotel over the internet, was rated at a 3.5 so my expectations were not great. The room was old and dingy, sinks and toilet were worn out, all furnishing were very dated. On the positive side the bed was comfortable (after a 10 hour motorcycle ride) maybe any bed would have been comfortable. At 180 dollars all I can say is that the owner should invest his/her profits back into the property. SES Santa Rosa Ca.

I forgot to take my BBQ grill with us on our trip. My cabin had one on the balcony how great is that. It was a great stay recommend it.

Amazing Getaway!!!Posted Mar 3, 2014
My girlfriend and I took the weekend to ourselves and went to the Pines Resort. We had never been and WOW what a neat place! The rooms are nice and clean (a little outdated but awesome nonetheless) and the chalets are awesome! There was a 60th bday party while we were there and it's a great place for a wedding!!! To sum it up, We are already planning our next stay!

WhatFi?Posted Jan 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
Enjoyed disconnecting for a couple days but they must have been having WiFi issues because we got no internet at all, Tried Samsung phones, Iphone, Ipad, Samsung tablet, Laptop, All to no avail. Even my phone was not getting reception so I could not get service. I asked for a wired connection and even that did not work, I got an error that the router was not configured correctly which I could not fix and they did not have anyone that was IT savy at all. Not a big deal since it was over new years so not much work but it is an feeling being disconnected from the world. And I would not say that the front desk staff are customer service oriented, I would not say they were mean, But they defiantly were not friendly. Also the level of the lake is SUPPPPPERRR low right now, The boat docks in the picture are all sitting on dry ground and the lake starts about 10 feet past the docks.
