Everything was pretty much perfect. We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing that caught me by surprise was seeing a left over pizza in the microwave that was not ours. I would also suggest checking the sugar packets for the coffee because when we opened ours the sugar was stuck together like it had been there for a while. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the staff was great. We'll definitely be returning.

Great Vacation Spot if Your Into Lakes

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Went to Yosemite on a whim and this place came up. Really not close to Yosemite and at a much lower elevation so its pretty warm. Was a nice suprise though. Reminded me of a 80's movie. Nice little lake house, general store, resteraunt where the Ahi Sashimi was A M A Z I N G. Good place though. Rent a boat and check it out.

Pros: we stayed in a suite and it was nice and roomy, clean and friendly staff. We loved the restaurant also.
Cons: New Beds in the suite. They could use the upgrade.
Location: The lake,. the boat rental and boating there was wonderful.
We loved the location and the lake it was awesome. We rented a boat for half day, the kids loved it. They fished. and just enjoyed the surrounding. It was beautiful. the weather was also perfect. The staff is friendly.

Nice location at Bass Lake

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Cons: Wifi, air conditioner and beds not so lumpy.
Location: Great location for spending the day on the lake or driving into Yosemite. Its close to Oakhurst as well with many restaurants & fast food too.
Would have been nice to have a thermostat for the air condition. It had to be either just on or off, which made it really cold at night. They advertise for free wifi, and it only worked about half the time of our stay. Ducey's Bar and Grill had great food for all ages and reasonable prices with great service with a pretty view of Bass Lake. The staff was very friendly. The staff at the market was super friendly as well.

Home away from home

Posted Jun 8, 2014
Pros: rustic lodge like ambience
Cons: internet coverage is not good, instructions not very clear.
very cozy chalets just by the serene lake. Close to Yosemite. Not too many dining options nearby. But the restaurant on the lake is very good and excellent view of the lake from the dining room and patio.

Unexpected

Pros: unique cabins, beautiful scenery!!
When we arrived I was pleasantly surprised that not only was it a beautiful place but our room was a split level "cabin" with balcony and BBQ. Awesome!!! Food was great at the restaurant too. Met some really nice couple from Germany who brought their motorcycles over to see the USA and stopped to stay here. They really enjoyed it.

One night stay at Pines Resort.

Convenient location for a day trip to Yosemite National Park. Rooms are clean and rustic. The woman who checked us in was absolutely fabulous (sorry, we forgot her name). She provided excellent advise and relevant information for our trip through Yosemite Village, on our journey to Lake Tahoe.

Beautiful area

Beautiful location, the resort is nice but old, did not like seeing trash lying around. Also, the maid didn't clean and/or make the beds.

Semi Rustic resort with lots of history

Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: Historic homey feeling...took me back to my childhood experiences at mountain cabins.
Cons: Attention to details when maintaining rooms, customer service at the desk (ie: making guests feel welcome), updating the menu at the restaurant
Although overrated, this resort has held up well. Room was comfortable and nice to have a balcony with table and chairs...although they needed cleaning. Lake is very small but the view from the restaurant is great! Food at restaurant was decent but nothing to write home about. Our room was clean but several items needed fixing. I feel like it was overpriced but I guess since it's near (but not close) to Yosemite Valley, I guess one should expect to pay more. The grounds were very nice and woodsy! I do think this place is best suited for active families with children.
