Cute hotel in a small town
Posted Jan 16, 2013
Pros: The surrounding area had many things to do with my family.
Cons: N/A
Location: Our family went to Yosemite and Columbia State Park. There are also caverns and other parks near by.
We enjoyed our stay at Angel's Camp. The staff was very pleasant and helpful with recommendations of things to do in the area. The room was clean and nicely decorated. It was nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. We checked in at 3am and the gal at the front desk was very nice and assured us that the surrounding area was very safe.

great value, with excellent access
Posted Jan 7, 2013
Pros: Large comfortable rooms, with easy access to surrounding attractions.
Location: On main highway in Angel's Camp, close to everything.
Although hotel is right on the highway, the rooms in the back are very quiet. Old-fashioned, interesting layout. Complementary breakfast included excellent waffles.

Angels Camp

The room was excellent, we slept like a baby. One feature we enjoyed the most, was the bath tub. We would definitely stay here again, the next trip up.

the hotel is nice and the service was great - it would be a nice place to stay if we did not have to travel so far to our destination

Good motel for the Gold Country
Posted Jan 29, 2013
Pros: There was a nice little bridge to cross between our room and the upper parking lot. There was plenty of walking space and the bed was comfortable.
Cons: The bathroom door knob needed to be replaced or repaired.
Location: Ironstone Vineyards is a beautiful winery that has summer concerts. Moaning Cavern is also worth a visit: cave tour, zip line, and spelunking.
The room was clean enough, but the bathroom door knob stuck and was difficult to open sometimes. The breakfast was on the low end (we've had much better). The pool looked clean and people were enjoying it. I would stay here again because it's difficult to find lodging in the Gold Country and this inn fits the bill.

The room was clean, the front desk was helpful, the breakfast was minimal - but the price was great for a holiday weekend in Angels Camp

decent place if your on a budget
Posted Jan 7, 2013
Pros: microwave in the room, small fridge, iron/ iron board, hair dryer.
Cons: housekeeping service. soda machine was broken
Location: close to restaurants, starbucks, cvs
they let us check in at noon w/c was awesome. The place is decent for the price. I didnt expect 5 star service but the housekeeping did not come back w/ my rq for extra towels (stayed for 2days). Front desk was very helpful w/ the weather info. Enjoyed the stay, went to mercer cave (abt 10mins), Bear Valley (1hr drive), & moaning cave. We did make the right choice of staying within the area first b4 going yosemite. and for the nxt winter, I would probably stay around this area rather than yosemite.

This deal can't be beat. My friends and I stayed here for the night after skiing all day at Bear Valley (about an hour away). We found the room to be very clean and tidy and the service by the staff to be exceptional. They were very friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants to visit and places to visit. Saturday night we ended up eating dinner in the adorable area of historic downtown Angel's Camp only a couple miles down the road. As far as continental breakfasts go, this one is pretty good - they even have a Belgian waffle maker. Sunday we visited Mercer Caverns in the nearby town of Murphys for a fun 45-minute guided tour, and then lunched at a cafe.
