Clean, relaxing hotel in a most wonderful setting.

Posted Feb 28, 2015
Pros: The location and that it had a view of the woods from the balcony
Cons: An elevator for the luggage, but that's not going to happen.
Location: We saw all the spectacular natural sites in the valley and had lunch at the Ahwahnee Hotel along with perfect weather. Great trip.
Our room was located across the street from restaurants, the Yosemite shuttle bus stop, and a small store. The room was clean and had all the usual conveniences (coffee pot, phone, TV and a nice balcony with table and chairs). The room and the building were very clean.

Location, Location, Location

Pros: Location is superb, Food service next door, Patio to yourself. Walk in shower
Cons: The internet was slow as proverbial molasses.
Location: In the center of Yosemite so you are on the bus and tour line. The whole park stands before you.
The hotel has had a facelift and the new(er) rooms are large and well appointed in rustic style furniture and flat screen TV. The bathroom has separate room for walk-in shower and toilet, with sink safe, and refrig in the adjoining space. To boot there is a private patio with each room. My room was clean and well maintained. There is a cafeteria next door for food and snacks. The hotel is situated directly in line with Yosemite falls so you could not have a better morning view of the park.

Excellent hotel

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: Comfort, clean, location, nice staff
Cons: lower price a little bit?
Location: Perfect location
I've been to Yosemite for many times. This was my first time stay here. It's little bit expensive. However, I will defenitly think it's higher than 2 star hotel, at least three. Very clean room, and nice staff. No need to mention the location

Home under the Waterfalls

Posted Feb 21, 2015
Pros: Perfect location for hotel Cafeteria just acoss the road, patio for each room
Cons: Some of the paint schemes for the rooms look like they were selected by the army. In the AM you can hear everyone in the hotel preparing to leave.
Location: Perfect location to do whatever you wish in the national park.
Location, location, location is true in Real Estate and also while staying in a national park. The lodge sits directly in front of the most dramatic waterfall in Yosemite. The check in was slow but finally accomplished. The facilities are government owned but the interior of the rooms was nicely done with rustic furniture that was comfortable and pleasing to the eye. Bathroom had walk in shower with sink separate from the shower and toilet. The bed was very comfortably and the TV was large and had good reception. To cap off the room there was an outside patio for each room. I found the experience of staying here to be spiritually rewarding.

Great location and views but very noisy

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: noise
Location: hike
The lodge has a great location of course since it's in Yosemite Valley. the room was clean but the noise was unbelievable. You can hear everything in the hall. You can hear loudly every door that opens and closes throughout the floor. The room itself was comfortable but if you stay make sure to bring very good ear plugs

Excellent views

Posted Feb 15, 2015
Pros: Location. Spectacular.
Cons: Drainage improved from pathways
Location: Fantastic location. Falls can be seen when stepping out front door. Shuttle buses outside reception.
Easy check in, lighting at night was at a minimum, made it a little difficult to find paths to room. It was raining and paths were pooling with water. Would have been nice for these to have been sweep in the morning. Room was nice, free wifi and parking. Dining room was great, best burgers! View was amazing when you stepped out your front door. Shuttle buses were easy to use. You must try the ice skating.

Great view.

Posted Feb 3, 2015
Pros: The view was awesome and location was awesome.
Cons: Fix up the room. Better food at the restaurants. More parking.
Location: Yosemite Falls in the back yard.
The view and location were great. The price for what you got was not worth it. It was like a Motel 6 in the wilderness. Food in area not so great. It served the purpose for a day in the park.
