Yosemite Riverside InnPosted Aug 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a very OLD place. You feel like you have gone back 50 years. If this inn was not about 1 hour away from Yosemite you would probably pay $35 to $40 a night. Rooms are bit up and breakfast is just some pastries (old). Stay in Yosemite and even if you pay a few dollars more it is worth it.

I did liked it, I wouldn't mind staying there again. It was peaceful and the staff were very friendly.

Noisy neighborsPosted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
The location to Yosemite is outstanding. The grounds on the property are beautiful. The concierge is helpful about info in the area. We happened to stay in the new bldg. on the ground floor. The steps up and down were so noisy we couldn't sleep when the late neighbors came home the nite before and the early in the morning neighbors woke up. So we only got about 6 hours shut eye. Breakfast items would run out and not be replaced in a timely manner or not at all.

Very expensivePosted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: The location and a lady working there in the morning
Cons: Everything in the room should be updated.
We paid $180 for 4 of us. I knew we were lucky to get any place to stay around Yosemite in Aug. within a week but it was just too expensive for what it was. The little room was clean but everything was so old and almost scary, none of us even wanted to use the shower. There is a restaurant 3 miles away, a grocery store and few more places to eat 15 miles away. The breakfast was typical continental breakfast and the lady working there was very nice and friendly. Good location to go visit Yosemite since it was close to the west entrance. But we will try to pich a tent next time to save money.

Complete rip offPosted Aug 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
I'm generally not too fussy about hotels as long as you get for what you pay for. Here we paid $180 for a room in what looked like a seedy $30 motel. I have seen them charging $400 in 2 weeks time. I realise there's not much accommodation round Yosemite but if going again, I would splash out and stay inside the park. Location wise, this hotel is a long way from the valley anyway and there's nothing around the area. Added to that, they charge so much yet haven't spent anything on the facilities.

scenic stayPosted Aug 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was a great find! A little cabin tucked away in the woods. We had a porch with table and chairs, a yard with a bbq, picnic table, and 2 person swing outside our room. Everyone there was extremely friendly. If we get another opportunity to return, we would definately plan a stay here.

Staff was EXTREMELY helpful, beds need replaced, carpet needs shampooed, there were dirty towels for previous occupants.

One step above campingPosted Jul 25, 2013
Pros: The grounds
Cons: See above
The grounds are beautiful and the staff are nice, but for over $150 a night I'd expect better accommodations. We had 3 parties there and all had rooms in a different building. The complaints ranged from water smelling of sulfur, lack of deadbolt, extremely creaky floors and stairs, shower heads at nipple level, and really poor linens. The rooms were outdated and I can do without the TV/microwave/fridge in every room, but the security of our door freaked me out and I really can't think of a reason for a shower head to be that low. If you are driving to Yosemite: BRING YOUR OWN BREAKFAST, TOWELS, and PILLOW and you will fare alright. The only true perk is it is THE last place to stay on 120 before you get to the park, but it's still a solid 15-30 min drive to any park destination.

Woodlands, Near entrance to YosemitePosted Jul 23, 2013
Pros: Birds, fireflies and trees
Location: Yosemite is of course close by. But the surroundings by the hotel are beautiful in themselves
Lovely setting in the woods. lots of birdlife, peaceful.
