Fantastic motel. We were visiting on our honeymoon, I mentioned to staff about this and they immediately upgraded us to a suite with a hot tub and balcony in for free! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, fantastic pizzas at the restaurant aswell!! Thanks again

Not like the online photos.....Posted Oct 17, 2014
Your paying for only the location.... the room had all of the items listed but nothing like the pictures available online. Our room had filthy carpet....we kept shoes on all times.. Told front desk. Stated would note the account. Never offered to change the room. ??? The wallpaper had water damage and was peeling off and spider webs on ceiling. . Very dated room from the 1980s i would assume from the pink tile bathroom and bed furnishings. Very disappointed with facility accommodations.

First Time visitPosted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: Close to the entry of Yosemite
Cons: improve the room, fix what are damage and looks old, since is place to rest. the quality of the building in side the room is not even a inn hotel.
the place is nice because is close to the mountain, but the infrastructure need to maintenance, some part of the facility are too old.

The food was great and the people were very friendly and helpful. The rooms could use some renovations but the beds were fine.

Great Place for a realxing and energetic timePosted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: River view from the Balcony, Relaxed Atmosphere.
Cons: Another resturant option
Location: Yosemite National Park...not much more needs to be said
we booked this as a second choice due to all of the accomodation within Yosemite Village being booked out. But if we had to do it again we would not hesitate. The room was on the riverside ( which unfortunetely was not flowing high due to end of summer seaon) it had a beautiful outlook with a balcony to take it all in after a hard days hike. THe rooms were clean and big, i was worried about having two queen beds for just the two of us ( i thought they may have been squashed in), but it actually turned out really well, there was plenty of space to spread out. The facilities were great, a Pizza place with the best Pizza's and a fantastic restaurant with Clam chowder to die for. The little shop had everything you needed if you had forgotten anything, and there was a laundry facility as well. The shuttles also pick up from here, but we had a car , so did not need them. Overall we had a great time here, wish we could have stayed longer.

Decent hotel right next to Yosemite's south gatePosted Oct 13, 2014
Don't expect any glamour in the hotel. The glamour is in the surrounding nature. The proximity to the park was awesome! There were minor things to tolerate such as low to moderate pressure water and a tougher than average bed, but everything was generally clean, which is what I really cared for. Breakfast was somewhat above average (loved the bacon). Nice dinner options. The river view was fantastic, especially in the morning. The staff were great and accommodating. Kudos to Shawn & Gavin at the restaurant.

Location is good... And that's all.Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Location is good.
Hotel is close to Yosemite, and the grounds had a few nice areas. But the staff was... Not rude, but not friendly. Food on-site was overpriced, the rooms were outdated and worn, with burned-out bulbs and a bathroom fan that didn't work, and beds that felt like plywood. Not good for over $200.

Good hotel in the heart of Yosemite.Posted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: Great location and good size rooms with all the amenities that you could need.
Cons: A little bit of modernisation but other than that nothing.
Location: Good location to get everywhere. Yosemite Stables for the half day ride, not for the faint hearted with steep climbs on narrow ledges but great fun.
Stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of Sept during a 3 week fly drive and were pleased we did. The hotel complex is bigger than it looks on the web photo with at least 5 large hotel room blocks so it can cater for a lot of people although we found it to never be crowded or noisy. The rooms are large and clean with a small kitchenette with fridge and microwave and all have balconies with mountain views. On site there is also several swimming pools, a laundry room, small grocery and gift shop and a very good pizza restaurant that you can eat in or take away to enjoy on your balcony listening to the local wildlife. Yosemite Village is about 30 mins drive away, not far in miles but slow driving speed limits due to wildlife and you also have to go through the park ranger control where you need a parks pass ($20 for a week per car). If you want to be in the heart of the park then this is the place to stay.

Nice hotel about 20 minted from Yosemite Village.Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: View of the river.
Cons: A pamphlet in the room describing hotel amenities and features as well as park features.
Location: Close to the park entrance. Highly recommend the Grand Tour package at the park.
The hotel receptionist upgraded our room to one that overlooks the Merced River. Was great sitting on the 3rd floor patio in the evening enjoying our wine while watching and hearing the river cascade through the rocks. (Good business move because we will pay the additional $80/night to reserve that the next time we visit Yosemite.) Woke up at 1 AM to see 3 raccoons bonding with the wet beach towel my wife left on the patio chair to dry after swimming in the pool. Made for some great photos but also pointed out how important it is not to leave ANYTHING out on the patio. Rooms have small refrigerators, microwaves, a small cooktop, toasters, etc. so one can offset cost of meals by bring their own groceries. We didn't use the in room spa but it was there. Cell reception is very weak and sporadic so don't expect your cellphone to function as a hotspot. (Next time I will also bring a conventional satellite GPS.) We finally decided to pay the fee for internet service. Overall an excellent experience and well worth the cost.
