Young is situated approximately 80 miles (129 kilometers) northwest of the national capital Canberra.
Young has a number of interesting destinations to see. The Young Visitor Information Centre and Griffith Showgrounds are two of the best.
Don't restrict yourself to Young; Central New South Wales contains an abundance scenic and cultural attractions which await the savvy traveler. Cootamundra, 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the northeast, and Cowra, 40 miles (64 kilometers) to the southwest of Young are worth a visit too.
Organize some transportation and head out to Tumut, a major city for the region, located some 70 miles (113 kilometers) away from Young. This bigger city offers a range of tourist attractions, such as Tumut and District Historical Society Museum, Stockwell Gardens and Bila Park. If your itinerary allows consider checking out Tumut Golf Club and Tamut and District Neighbourhood Centre before you return to Young.
