Under construction
Posted Jan 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel was under contruction while I stayed there for 2 nights. The whole first floor and lobby carpet was ripped up. Looked Really bad. Service was polite and friendly though. Forget about the continental breakfast. It's microwaved bacon and egg patties. Go down the street to the diner on the corner instead. Hotel Is very old , built in like 1867 or so - and it shows! For the price though I guess you get what you paid for.

Loved it.

Room was squeaky clean and front desk/breakfast staff super nice. You can stroll right out onto Warren's historic town square, but parking in easy in the rear. Certainly a unique experience! Will stay there again if passing through.

Pretty little town

The building was built in 1887. Very pretty woodwork on the lobby. Bed were comfortable. A/c worked well. Good value. Breakfast included.

Adequate for the night

Our stay in Warren was just for one night on the way to a golf tournament. The hotel was located right in the heart of downtown, within walking distance of the park. It was a beautiful building with more renovations being done as we stayed. Our room was large enough to be comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. There was a wedding reception in the banquet room directly under our room and we could hear every song the DJ played. The air conditioner was also noisy as it turned on and off all night long. Our stay included breakfast which was served in what looked like a basement, very dark and low ceilings. There was a variety of food but most was pre-packaged. The service was very friendly and the breakfast server was helpful with directions and making sure we had everything we needed at breakfast. We probably would not stay there again.

Grand old hotels taken over by chains are preserving a lovely part of our past. You get to imagine the city as it was in its glory days, imagine yourself a part of it. Warren is a town in decline, but the downtown area is refurbished, artsy, clean, and beautiful, awaiting Warren's next uptick. "The Park" aka Comfort Inn is under construction and we can't wait to come back when it's done. The staff is delightful, breakfast is good, parking is plentiful; the Mocha House and Sunset Inn a few blocks away complete the picture.

Exactly what we expected

Hotel that needs an update but the room was clean and nice. Bathroom must have been refinished recently since it was spotless. The staff was helpful and the breakfast decent. The few things to see in Warren are within a walkable distance.

Uneven rooms

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. The first time there was a microwave and fridge in the room. I payed the same price for the second night with no fridge or microwave.
