Very nice hotel close to historical down town.

Very convenient to freeway, filling stations, and real food that is not "fast food." We enjoyed our stay. Yreka is growing and the buildings are being cared for.

A little overpriced

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Convenient to downtown Yreka and area dining.
Cons: Bed was uncomfortable. Better noise insulation and air conditioning.
The rooms are nicely appointed and modern. The problem with the motel is that it is very loud. The rooms all front on the parking lot. It is convenient for access, but noisy for rest. The motel is essentially a one-night stopping spot for people traveling between California and Washington.

Close to town

Posted Mar 25, 2014
Pros: The hot breakfast.
Cons: Water pressure, smell, thickness of walls.
Location: Good location-it's right in the center of town basically.
My fiancé and I stayed at this hotel while visiting family. The room smelled stale and smelled like smoke even though we were in a non-smoking room. The water pressure is not very good either. The walls are very thin and you can hear EVERYTHING outside. I would NOT recommend this hotel to any light sleepers!

not so good

Posted Feb 1, 2014
Pros: Standard room.
Cons: Have the maid actually look behind the door for garbage. Sound proof the rooms. Get better reception for the TV.
Location: The town shuts down at 4 pm.
We were put in the back. The room had a n empty pill container behind the door. The room itself was noisy.

Overnite visit

Posted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: The room was clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was nice and big with a second sink outside of the toilet and shower area.
Cons: There was an opaque panel next to the door that let in the lights from the hallway. This made the room pretty light and not as easy for me to sleep.
My husband, my son and myself needed a room with two beds. The room was really nice, the deck faced the creek (I assume since I couldn't see it!). I liked having two sinks. With three adults it was handy.

Two traveling Seniors

Posted Oct 22, 2012
Pros: the spaciousness and the bathroom situation with two seperate sink areas
Cons: not really anything
Location: location is directly off Hwy 5 with gas and a variety of eats readily available
This is an older hotel but the rooms have been upgraded and were very clean and spacious. The bathroom situation was wonderful for two or more people as there was one sink area in the toilet/shower room and yet another sink with a large counter just outside the bathroom. Really made it nice as we were in a big hurry in the morning to depart. The linens were newer and we always like the feature of the blanket being sandwiched between to clean white sheets - which you usually only find in more expensive hotels. The price may be a little high for this area but with a senior discount not to bad.
