“too many other choices nearby”

It had been several years since I had traveled to Yuma and had stayed at the Shilo Inn on a couple of occasions in the past. That is the reason I booked a room at Shilo. They used to have a very nice restaurant and bar, but both have been closed down. There are too many other choices of hotels in the area today and on my next visit I will probably stay at a Marriott or Hilton family of hotels, which are nearby.

“Nice Hotel”

This hotel is nice. We have stayed there twice so far. The last time we were on the 2nd floor and this time on the first. I think the upper floors have better more up to date rooms because this time we were on the first floor in a handicapped room. The whole bathroom in tiled and there is only a shower (no tub). There was a tube tv. That was fine with us we didn't go there to watch tv anyway. The one thing i noticed was there wasn't much light over where you put your luggage while you are there. It's hard to find something in your bag when there's not a light above it. Like I said I don't remember the upper floor room having a tube tv or the luggage problem. I would recommend this hotel. It was comfortable while we were there. The breakfast was ok. Just sausage, eggs, yogurt, milk, and other stuff.

Right by many stores and dining opportunities this hotel is right in the middle of the shopping district of Yuma

“Hotel needs to get out of the 80's”

For one night, it was all right but the hotel definitely needs to be updated. Even though it was clean, it seemed dark and old. Also, it would help to have more light in the back parking lot. Didn't feel that secure parking my car when I got there at night.

“You get what you pay for. Old and cheap.”

The cut every corner possible and without apology. The staff seems nice enough but not quiet the level of customer service expected from many many other hotel stays with other companies. I will definetly not go back and neither will my coworker that also stayed there.Leah

“It's o.k. for the price”

Overall the hotel /pool area was fine. the rooms could use an update & the carpet in hallways really needs to be replaced . I probably would stay again . The staff was very friendly & breakfast was more than what we needed .

“Excellent place to stay”

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last few years. We have always enjoyed our stay. Our latest stay did however show that hotel maintenance has been lax. Example: Floor ice makers did not work, required three levels to find one that worked. Room furniture in poor condition, drawers would not stay closed.

“Low price, great stay”

The room and location were great. Unfortunately I have gotten the same story from them twice in a row that they are supposedly "just ran out" of their complimentary toiletries.

“Not too shabby”

The best part was the pool. Otherwise, it's obvious that this hotel was the cream of the crop about 10 years ago and they haven't really updated since. It's not rundown, but it's not really cutting edge either. Breakfast wasn't bad and the room was pretty comfy. Overall, a decent deal for the price paid and might consider it again...
