Yuriria is situated approximately 140 miles (225 kilometers) west of Mexico City, the national capital, and approximately 55 miles (89 kilometers) southwest of Queretaro.
From big-ticket tourist hotspots to lesser known nooks and crannies, the area around Yuriria is crisscrossed with things to do and see. If you're keen to explore more of the region, you'll find Cortazar, 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the southwest, and Salamanca 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the south.
When you are ready to head further afield beyond Yuriria, why not visit the nearest regional center. Morelia is situated 35 miles (56 kilometers) away and is home to sights like Temple of the Nuns, Mariano Matamoros Theater and Morelia Convention Center. If you're still looking for things to do in the city centre, be sure to check out Estadio Morelos, Museum of Colonial Art and Regional Museum of Michoacan before you head back to Yuriria.
Guanajuato is home to some important cathedrals and other holy sites, ideal places to catch a glimpse of Yuriria's soul. If the weather isn't ideal, fear not, Guanajuato offers a number of popular art museums, theaters and history museums, that'll keep you entertained.
