Zagori is located 60 miles (97 kilometers) east of Corfu and 200 miles (322 kilometers) northwest of Athens, Greece's capital.
It's little wonder Zagori is such a hotspot for travelers; the region is criss-crossed with terrific natural and man-made attractions. Leave enough time to visit Konitsa, which is roughly 13 miles (21 kilometers) away from Zagori. In Konitsa, you can visit the Kavasila Sulfur Baths and Mount Smolikas. If you feel like doing more in this region, make your way over to Ioannina to visit the Ioannina Castle and Anatolis Park. Ioannina is 15 miles (24 kilometers) away.
When you are ready to head further afield beyond Zagori, why not visit the nearest center. Parga is 50 miles (80 kilometers) away and is home to visitor attractions including Sarakiniko Beach, Parga's Castle and Valtos Beach. Necromanteion and Anthousa Castle are also good places to spend a little time.
You'll find a few moments of serenity in Greek Mainland's temples. If you're looking for indoor entertainment, you can't beat Greek Mainland's excellent theaters, art museums and history museums. These are great places to to soak up some of the local lore and culture and perhaps find a unique souvenir.
The Greek Mainland area provides plenty of laid-back pastimes, such as beach combing and picnicking. There are many ways to experience the outdoors around Zagori. Rock climbing and mountain biking are two popular ways thrill seekers here can get their thrills.
Everything must end sometime, but be rest assured, when it's time to leave Zagori, you'll still have many wonderful memories to enjoy.
