Fabulous Hilton in Zagreb

Pros: I loved everything about this hotel.
Location: Everything is within reach on foot, public transit (street car right in front) or car. Parking garage is great and reasonably priced.
Fantastic, modern, beautiful hotel. From fabulous, modern decor in our room to delicious breakfast - everything was to die for!!! Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful - I am so glad that my home town has a hotel of this quality and I plan to stay there every time I visit. Thank you for a great experience!

Great hotel

Positive: Clean room, great room facilities, pleasant staff, good breakfast. Negative: Elevator in the garage underground was not working so we had to walk up the 4 floor stairs with our bags.

Great Modern Hotel with Great Staff

Location: Hotel is not in the city center, but not a big issue because there is a train stop outside that will take you DT in 5-10 minutes.
Staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Very modern and deluxe rooms. Also has great buffet breakfast. I thought the hotel was going to be very nice when I booked it over the Regent downtown, but it was even better than expected.

Good hotel!

Pros: Room size, friendly staff, food.
Cons: Air conditioning, housekeeping.
Location: About 20 min walk to town centre. But not too inconvenient or expensive via taxi as well.
We checked in 10 the June night and stayed for 2 nights. 2 adults and a 13 year old. We were put up in room 803. Great size of the room and bathroom. It had a large double bed, one extra bed, large foot stool, large round table, two large chairs. Being a corner room had ample sunlight because of both side glazed windows. But this time of the year it was exceptionally warm and air conditioning was not at all effective. I understand corner room with large windows would be slower to cool but I seriously think there was something wrong in air conditioning of the room. Passage outside the room was far more pleasant than the room. After an entire night of running AC, the room would cool to just 24 degrees or so. So it was uncomfortable. Service though was good n staff was friendly. Housekeeping could have been better. They didn't clean or replace the used glasses the first day. Overall a satisfactory experience because of friendly staff, not so far location and decent food. Would have been happier with better air conditioning though.

Fantastic Hotel & Great Service

I'd read good reviews on the hotel that was why I booked it and I was not disappointed. Our room was fantastic and the staff were really friendly and very helpful. On the Thursday night we had a nightcap at the hotel bar and the barman was terrific (I think his name was Ivan). The hotel is not right in the centre but it's about a 40 minute walk depending on the route you take. There is the tram nearby, bus station (for travel further afield) just down the road and taxi's don't take long to get you into town. The hotel is lovely - I totally recommend it.

Great place for a foreign visitor

The staff of this hotel is to be commended on the service it affords it's visitors from foreign countries. I stayed there for two nights during a trip to Croatia to meet family I did not know existed. The staff, especially the desk personnel, did their best to explain to me how the various systems of the hotel operated. When I went to check out, I could not find the parking slip I used to enter the parking garage and could not leave without one. They printed a new one for me to allow me to leave on time. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well maintained, and the energy saving ideas incorporated in the rooms, such as no power without your key card, could well be adapted to use in this country. I may never return to Zagreb, but I will definitely choose this hotel if I were to return.

Fantastic staff

Location: A bit out of the way from the city centre but taxis are cheap.
We had a geat stay at the Hilton Double Tree. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we had a great lunch in our room on the Sunday.

Good hotel

Overall, this hotel is good. Firstly, location is nice, but not specially great. Hotel is around 15 minutes walk from bus terminal which is one of main place in Zagreb. The room is confortable, clean. Breakfast is just average level in my experience. Additional good point is the hotel restaurant (the name is OXBO) is very good. So, you can easily enjoy great dinner at hotel. And you need to know is there is the switch like "please clean the room", and if you don't turn on, your room may not clean up (my room was not).
