“Great location, quiet, amazing spa services.”

It was a great choice to stay in Sheraton Zagreb. Less than 5 minutes walking distance to the city center, you will go across a very nice park where you would love to go every day. Quiet relaxing stay, very helpful staff with decent smile. The SPA center is just amazing with a huge variety of massage and beauty treatment.

“First time to Zagreb”

Good location within 10 minute walk or short tram ride to central square. While listed as a 5 star hotel, it doesn't measure up to 5 star standing - rooms are a bit dated. I think this hotel caters mainly to business people - when we arrived on Saturday Sept 3rd, the hotel was nearly deserted.

“Excellent”

I stayed here for four nights and really enjoyed it. This hotel looks magnificent - the lobby, the hallways, the room, everything. The room was very comfortable - nice bed, blackout curtains, and quiet A/C. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient - my room was kept in immaculate condition, room service brought me a tasty burger, and the front desk called in a taxi at 5am for my return to the airport. The location is good - there's a Chinese restaurant across the street, and bakeries and grocery stores and more restaurants within a couple minutes' walk, while the livelier areas of the city are about a 15-minute walk. Everything was great. I highly recommend this hotel.

Area recommendations

There's a pub called "Tolkien's House" at the curve in the road on Opatovina. Try a "Gandalf the Grey" - it's quite good.

“Zagreb Sheraton”

The hotel was wonderful. Decor and atmosphere was all that you would expect of a Sheraton. The breakfast buffet, although very pricey, was excellent. Except for a loose toilet seat, we had no complaints. We will stay there again the next time we visit Zagreb.

“Zagreb, Croatia is an excellent Vacation Destination”

I was very impressed with the quality of the Sheraton Hotel. The staff was exceptional. The breakfast buffet was the best I have ever had. The choices were many, and the quality was always top-shelf. Exceptional location, right on a busy square, with tram/bus service at your door. Very clean, safe, service-oriented, and I would stay there at every opportunity. Youy can't go wrong here.

Area recommendations

The square where the Sheraton Hotel is located is fantastic. I have never seen so many beautiful, stylish people in one spot in my life. There is an iconic Catholic Cathedral within easy walking distance of the hotel. Perfectly safe, clean, interesting city. On my short list of places to go retire.

When to go

I prefer to travel within Europe in the Fall of the year. Crowds of tourists are gone, kids are back in school, Europeans have wrapped-up their August vacations. Pack lightly, they have laundrymats, and hotel laundry service. You can also purchase a sweater or light jacket if needed, for a reasonable amount of money. Eat at the restaurant of choice. The price may seem high, but remember it is not in "dollars", but in Kuna's. Fantastic food, good prices, great wines, exceptional service. People really do appreciate your business.

Getting there

Delta is pretty hard to beat, but there are other airlines.

What to pack

Minimal. Do laundry, have hotel staff do laundry.

Dining

Eat where you might not in your home-town. Splurge...still probably under $20 including wine!

“Not impressed but ok”

Ok hotel, but not what I've expected from a 5star sheraton. The furniture was a bit old, and the tv was from the last century! And this hotel is not offering wireless wifi in the rooms, something that is not compatible with todays technologi. But however it has great central location!
