Weekend Get Away

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Clean. Pool stayed open until 12am.
Location: This is tough because I don't know the area. It was a 15-20 min drive to the nearest Walmart even.
This by far was the best Best Western I've stayed at. It was clean and the staff was curteous. The pool was even clean and didn't have a strong chlorine smell. I don't live that far from the hotel but I will definitely go back again to get away for a day or two.

It is what it is

Stopped here because the town we passed through was all booked due to oil and gas industry workers. Old style A/C unit that took a long time to cool and goes off and on all night. OK cleanliness, staff seemed nice.

Lack of Management follow through!

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Cons: Better Management relations.
Location: We loved the Denny's Diner across the street. Open all night and the food was good.
My family and I were staying one night. Everything about our stay was great with the exception to a fight that broke out in the middle of the night (3 AM) outside our door. It turned out to be a domestic dispute from some other guests that were out and apparently had too much to drink. They were loud and there was some physical abuse taking place out in the hall way. My two kids were terrified. I called down the front desk to alert them that this was going on and they were aware and the police were already on their way. Everything did settle. My disappointment was that no one followed through with me. Our stay was interrupted and not one apology or reassurance from management. At the complimentary breakfast, several guests had called the front desk asking for Police. This wasn't a small fight. It was scary. I would have expected someone to apologize for the restless night sleep, make sure everyone was ok and possibly offer something in return. I know it was not the hotels fault but it happened in their hotel. Very disappointed.

I would not stay there again.

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: See above.
Cons: See above.
Location: There is a Denny's, Wendy's and McD's within walking distance.
The room was not the most comfortable but it was okay. The fist night there, after flying cross country with a 4 year old, we were awoken by the front desk at 3 AM telling us that the trouble alarm was going off and asked if anything was the matter. Nothing was wrong and we did not here any alarms. We were called again at 530 AM by a different staff member. We went to the front desk that next morning and told them that they needed to have someone fix the issue. The person at the front desk had no clue what we were talking about. They said they would look into it. When we got back to our room that evening we asked if the issue was fixed and we were told that they had no idea what we were talking about and that they would call and ask maintenance. We went back down about an hour later and were told the problem was resolved, but were not told what the issue was. Two days later at 4 AM we received another call from the front desk for the same problem. That night I made it clear for no one to call me unless there was smoke coming out from under my door. They had offered to put us in a new room (the day we were leaving). The hot tub was broken and apparently will never be fixed (this was something I was looking forward to). It is a very busy hotel, right off the interstate. If you are staying one night, it might suffice, but more than that I would pass.

Just the basics

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Room was clean; they tried to make it look nice. Awful pillows, uncomfortable beds, paper thin walls, noisy cleaning staff at 6:30 am, and lousy breakfast food. The pool looked okay, but we didn't use it (too tired from long drive). The hot tub in pool area is "permanently closed", as I was told when I got there. Staff was friendly. This is the Walmart of hotels; they have what you need, but it gonna be a great experience.

I travelled with my three young kids and was thankful that God provided such a comfortable, clean and safe place to stay the night!

So so

The room was clean and comfortable but our room location was bad. It was directly across from the elevator, ice machine and vending machine! Needless to say, that had a negative impact our stay. The hot breakfast was okay.

Hotel was great. The staff needs help.

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The room was very comfortable, clean and apacious.
Cons: The staff attitude.
Location: Not much. Right off I70. Need to drive into Zanesville.
Really enjoyed the comfort of our room. Breakfast wasn't bad. We would stay again.
