“Good Value”

Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. My only negative was the carpet was dirty and needed to be replaced.

“disappointing”

the picture of a gun with an X on it at the front door should have been a clue. Front desk was absent when we arrived for 15 min while they helped another unhappy customer move. Property is very shop worn and falling apart. Bed was comfortable and clean..Maid left a note "Can't make bed..sorry". Not sure what that was about!!. Breakfast was pathetic. punch and apple juice, (no fruit)., donuts, hostess cupcakes and twinkies, fruit loops and frosted flakes...... I had wheat toast........coffee was good.

“Lodging of Last Resort”

This property is quite dilapidated, to the point where my room door did not lock -- fortunately it wedged close tightly enough to look like it was closed. Pool out of order (in mid-June) and sidewalks dilapidated. Wi-fi not working, staff not caring. Stay here only if absolutely necessary.

Area recommendations
Newark proper should be okay, Columbus is close enough to provide better hotel options.
