Handicap Room & Updating repainting outsidePosted May 18, 2015
Pros: Room was pretty nice overall.
Cons: More attention to detail when cleaning. And make certain that the facial tissues are refilled. We had none.
Location: Lots to do in Zanesville, I think. We were staying here, because everything in Columbus was sold out. Some weekend Rock Concert thing going on!!
First impression on the outside was a little weird...then we figured out that there was plastic on some of the windows because they were repainting the outside. Thus the reason that some of the windows looked painted over!! We ended up in a handicap accessible room, which was fine. A little weird having vinyl throughout rather than carpet, but no big deal. The vinyl did appear sticky in spots in the bathroom which was a little disconcerting. The base of the toilet was not clean. But the rest of the bathroom fixtures did appear to be clean. There was not a handicap (elevated) commode and it was really too close to the wall for anyone's comfort. The closet rods were lowered which was a nice accessible feature, but there were no hangers. The only amenity was bar soap. No kleenex, shampoo, or anything else extra, so make certain to take your own!! The walls appeared to be very thin. When the guests in the next room came in drunk at 1:30AM...I could hear everything. And the closers on the room doors are very strong, so every room door slams when you go in or out. Very noisy!! May stay again...but have found much nicer for the price.

EconomyPosted Mar 30, 2015
The room was inexpensive and got what was paid for. A place to sleep and shower. Bed was uncomfortable and pillows terrible. Had a King bed..get the two queens if you stay here and hopefully one of the two will be ok.

Good for our tripPosted Oct 7, 2014
Hotel is going through renovations. Is not the best out there but my room was fine. Room 260 Bathroom needed renovation but overall we went there to sleep before & after our Spartan race. The hotel was near restaurants a few exits up. Again, it suited our needs to sleep & shower.

Get what you pay forPosted Oct 6, 2014
I stayed here for a Spartan race. If you just going to crash here that's fine, other then that, I wouldn't recommend this place. Ceiling was leaking, not very clean and the guy working the desk at night was just horrible.

Should be great very soonPosted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Great people and comfortable beds.
Cons: being remodeled
Location: swimming pool inside the hotel.lots of restaurants nearby. Tumbleweed is awesome (made to order Guacamole)
The hotel was being remodeled when I stayed there. I was lucky enough to meet the owner who is a great person and owns several hotels and she knows what needs to be done to turn the place around. I have no doubt when the remodeling is complete, this hotel will be great place to stay at. I checked in late and dealt with one employee who was very friendly and helpful and has great knowledge of the area.

We staybat Motel 6s everywhere we go. We stayn at a Motel 6 in December of every year in NH. I was extremely disappointed that we were not made aware that the hotel was under construction. We chose this hotel because of the indoor pool which was closed. Our kids were so disappointed. Had we been made aware of the construction, particularly the pool we would have stayed elsewhere

Under renovationPosted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Nearness of a restaurant .
Cons: It is going to be very nice once the renovation is complete.
Our room was not exactly as we had expected and asked to change rooms and the staff made it possible for us to do just that.

A surpring Motel 6Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: The room was very comfortable--the type of furnishings that one would except in a more expensive motel.
Cons: While there is an indoor pool, there was no water.
Location: The motel is convenient to the Zanesville airport and a couple chain restaurants (McDonalds, Dennys, etc.) are nearby.
When I have stayed at Motel 6 in the past, the rooms have been adequate but minimal; this motel is the best Motel 6 that I have ever encountered. It was once a conference center and most of the furnishings are upscale, not the usual spartan type.
