The facilities could be more updated for a 5 star hotel. Service was great. Alcoholic drinks need to be stronger - it tasted non alcoholic unless you asked for "stronger".

For the most part, my experience was great. The only absolute disappointment was the gym. Very small, unsuitable for resort of this size. All inclusive option was also not so glamorous as all the restaurants were open only at certain times. For our entire stay, only one place was open for breakfast and two to three for dinner. But selection was good, although same or very similar every day.

A perfect stay for a few days. Food is delicious, lots of entertainment. Stuff is very welcoming. There were a few times when the order was forgotten and then the manager apologised for that.

Property was beautiful overall and the staff were very kind! They are very accommodating as well. they helped us with excursions, airport pick up/drop off, and have an amazing concierge. The food overall could have been better, but the Italian restaurant was amazing, It was more the buffet lunch and dinner that would've been better but overall similar to any other resort buffet.

I would have given 5 stars if check in was more smooth . Was given the wrong room and slow service to resolve it . Otherwise everyone and everything else is great . The food was excellent minus taste of asia was ok . Didn’t get to try the Italian restaurant. The main restaurant is excellent . The drinks and bartenders are superb . The facility is awesome and the beach area . Will be back again . The shisha was average but it’s so nice to have shisha on the beach . Shoutout to Aloyce, best bartender .

Staff was fantastic. Food pretty good. But limited ability to reserve at “restaurants” drinks are poor quality and limited…e.g a margarita costs extra. They use small plastic bottle waters. So not super eco friendly. Also expect folks to get up early and claim a chair with a towel and not show up for hours. But the staff bent over backwards to be accommodating.

The resort is wonderful. Beautiful beach and facilities. They arrange everything you need from transport to excursions. Shops and restaurants on site. I really didn’t have to leave if I didn’t want to. Staff was incredibly helpful with this being my first time to Zanzibar. My literal only complaint was how hard the mattress was. But it was a minor complaint because I was barely in the room. Too busy out having fun.

Solid Option
This was a great resort. So many good things to share and just a couple areas of improvement. Pros: - Very nice & attentive staff! If you have excursions booked, reception will call you & let you know the tour operator told them the pick up time. Staff provided guidance & tour of where everything was located. - Entire resort was not crowded at all! Plenty open dining and resting options on the beach. - The food is decent for a resort. - We were able to check in a couple hours early & didn’t have to pay a fee. - There’s bar & towel service on the beach. Very convenient. - Nice book share area but they’re all in Swahili. - The spa was nice. Nothing special but decent. Cons: - About an hour from ZNZ airport (which many resorts are) - The room was spacious but the bathroom is an open floor plan. We had to put a bedsheet over the bathroom window for a privacy. - The alcoholic drinks are watered down. Don’t waste your money. - Most food options are buffet & the staff & guests aren’t req to wear masks so be prepared for that. And germs with people touching their noses & then the utensils in the buffet like. - There were flies all over the breakfast food each morning & the staff didn’t care so I’d be cautious when in line. - The customer service at the Italian restaurant was a bit subpar in comparison to the broader resort operations. Not a good experience there.

I'm so pleased that your time with us overall was a pleasant one. As you have said, our team is attentive, friendly and always happy to help where possible, and we are so lucky to have each and every one of them. I really appreciate you giving us some pointers for improvement, that we may have overlooked. Regarding our rooms, our Deluxe Rooms come in two styles: modern and open-plan, as well as Africa-Arabic with a separated and closed off bathroom. A room change can be arranged at reception, subject to availability. I'm surprised by the comment related to our drinks offer, as we usually get praises for not only the quantity included, but the quality as well. We are one of few hotels that rarely use artificial ingredients, but rather fresh fruits and spices. We have 5 dining outlets, two of which offer buffet and the remaining offering a set menu or a la carte. I'm shocked that our staff may have not practiced the maximum level of hygiene. This is most certainly not something we accept, and we will reiterate this amongst our team. Thank you once again. It was a real pleasure to serve you and we would love to do it again. The hotel grounds and accommodation are super and you cannot fault the staff. The AI pack is lacking though. The drink selection was poor and the food was repetitive. Sadly the same food is served in the different restaurants.

We are afraid that we were not informed on time regarding your concern with limited drinks in the all inclusive, so we could have explained that our drink selection for All Inclusive includes 5 wines, 1 sparkling wine, 2 different beer, water and sodas, hot drinks, more than 12 freshly hand shaked cocktails made with premium drinks like Mojito, Piña Colada, Daiquiris among others, rum, whiskey, vodka, gin and other local spirits. We believe that this is quite far from having a "poor" selection, but nevertheless we will revise our standard as we always strive to improve. The same goes for our food, we feature an oriental casual snack for lunch on the beach, a Seafood a la carte restaurant, an Italian restaurant with 15 different main courses, a la carte snacks overlooking the beach, and a buffet. Each of them with a different menu. Your comments about repetitive food will be shared with our kitchen team for further improvements. A bit of African paradise
Beautiful 5 star resort. Great food, clean rooms, excellent service. Only concern is the very hard mattress. We stayed in the villa - an upgrade. The standard rooms were also very nice.

Pleasant hotel!
Pros -beautiful location -beautiful beach, with powder white sand -beautiful pool -staff are friendly -clean, spacious rooms -well maintained hotel Cons -some service related issues e.g requested items such as a laundry bag / clothing iron - items either never arrived at the unit at all, or came after a unreasonably long period -food was average -was forced to pay $70 for a Xmas dinner. This was in the booking fine print. Guests should have the option to opt out, as not all guests would opt to attend the dinner. Tips - be sure to make a reservation at the African resturant -unlike other hotels, when booking half board, the hotel only offers water as a free drink during supper. Juices and soft drinks are charged for On the whole, pleasent experience.

Good All Inclusive Resort
The resort was excellent, staff were very friendly, hard working and always greeted guests with a smile. All facilities were excellent and well maintained and clean. We did feel food options could have been better, especially as Zanzibar is known for their spicies. Local drinks could have been better and there was no option to upgrade drinks package to premium drinks. Overall, satisfied and would recommend this resort.

Don’t stay here!
Do not stay at this hotel. It is definately not a five star resort! Let me start with the cons 1. Safe not working. Brought to the attention of guest relations manager and fixed 2. Telephone line not working at all. Bear in mind, there is a long walk between ocean view suite and reception to bring up issues. There is a WhatsApp line to guest relation manager but when u have a query in the middle of the night you are facing a long walk. 3. The pool side first aid kit consists of one unsterile glove, unsterile cotton wool and calamine lotion!!!! No antiseptic or proper first aid kit! My daughter had a cut at the pool, and my husband had to run to our rooms to get first aid. Luckily, I am a doctor, and cane prepared. 4. Electricity cuts mean you waking up at least 4times a night to switch the aircon on. Temperature rises quickly. 5. Rooms are very dated 6. All inclusive is not all inclusive. Between breakfast and lunch, even tho we were willing to pay for food for my 3year old to snack on between meal times, we faced uphill and I had to escalate to the assistant GM. Ridiculous! Five star resort my foot! Pros: 1. Staff very friendly. 2. Water pulls back with tide exposing the reef which is anazing to explore. We saw clown fish, star fish, sea cucumber, spongy ink fish. It was incredible. 3. Meal times have a sufficient spread of food 4. Theme nights were really special I would definately not stay here again. They should have their star rating reviewed urgently

The grounds were well maintained. It is a beautiful beachfront property with lots of amenities. The staff is the best part of the resort!!! They were friendly and accommodating. The spa services were amazing!! The only issues I had with the property was that all the restaurants are open-air therefore flies, mosquitos, and other flying insects were harassing us while we ate. I did not enjoy this. We had to wear bug spray every time we went out the room. They need to invest in a good exterminator and the fans that sit at doors of restaurants that keep the flies out. The power kept going out; however, I think this is an island problem and not neccessarily the hotels issue. Our telephone didn’t work in the room.

Property is lovely and well maintained landscaping. The first two days were great and then we had three days of constant power outages. They have generator but that also appeared unstable. When power came back on the ac did not and had to be turned on manually. It is very hot and humid so this created much discomfort in the room.
