Beach:

Sunshine Marine Lodge is located on the beautiful cliff and during low tide, in front of the Lodge, there is a temporary beach nice for walking and exploring the exposed ocean floor. We will bring the sun beds down there, so for few hours a day, our guests can enjoy the sun on the beach and observe the marine life.

About 700 m from the Lodge there is Muyuni beach – one of the last undeveloped and unspoiled beaches of Zanzibar. This beach can be reached on foot (during the low tide), by bike or car. The beach is perfect for sunbathing, walks and swimming during low and high tides. Its powder white sand washed by clear waters of Indian Ocean, make it one of the most beautiful and scenic beaches on Zanzibar.

Jetty:

The Lodge has a wooden jetty with stairs leading down the beach on the low tide and to the sea on the high tide. The sun beds on the jetty give guests opportunity for sunbathing and observing the Ocean.

Swimming Pools:

Our three swimming pools are a pleasant escape from the heat. Two of them are situated near the ocean, close to the Restaurant and Bar areas. The smaller pool is nice for cooling down with a drink and the bigger one – 20 meters long, proper swimming pool – allows to swim comfortably with the beautiful scenery in the background. The third pool is located in the Lodge’s Dive Center. It is specially designed for diving courses but everybody is welcome there.

ECOndition:

Please note that we do not have air conditioning in our rooms. Our Lodge aims to be eco-friendly and was specially designed to use the ocean breeze to cool down the rooms (like sultan palaces in the past).

Restaurant & Bar:

Our restaurant and bar serve a wide variety of delicious fresh foods and drinks. Guest are invited to relax with a drink, read a book or play a game in the Boat Bar or the lounge areas around it: on the Upper Deck and in the Rock Garden.

We offer accommodation with breakfast only or on Half Board basis.

Internet:

We have wireless internet for our guests. Please note that it is not very fast and not very reliable.

Sunshine Marine Lodge has a restaurant on site. Room service (during limited hours) is available.

Dive Point Zanzibar is a brand new, small and friendly PADI dive center situated in Sunshine Marine Lodge, just opposite the famous Mnemba Atoll - the main diving spot on Zanzibar.

We offer daily diving and snorkeling trips to Mnemba and north-east coast reefs, try dives for those willing to discover scuba diving, as well as a wide range of PADI diving courses, from Discover Scuba Diving up to Dive Master.

Thanks to the location we have an easy access to the dive sites around Mnemba Atoll, regarded as the best diving place on Zanzibar. We can also reach the very interesting north-east coast reefs. Dive Point Zanzibar is a great place to learn scuba diving thanks to its own pool specially designed and dedicated for diving activities.

Diving on Zanzibar offers you a stunning underwater world with schools of tropical reef fish, turtles, dolphins, nudibranchs and beautiful hard and soft coral formations. We dive around the Mnemba Atoll but thanks to the location and our fast boat we can also reach the north-east coast reefs that offer a lot of beautiful corals and loads of fish. The dive sites are suitable for all levels of experience, from beginners to advanced. As a special trip we offer diving on Shanes Reef near Nungwi. It is a great place for experienced and beginner divers with lots of life and strange creatures like leaf fish, different scorpion fish, nudibranchs and even frog fish and sea horses.

We can also offer liveaboard diving trips on a very comfortable catamaran, that combine sailing and diving on the most interesting reefs in the area.
