“They try hard but you need a little Mandarin”

The staff tried hard but difficulties arose from three areas. The hotel is some 30 kms from the centre of Zhengzhou making a long journey to the rail and bus stations. The staff speak very little English so you need some Mandarin. Internet access is usually via ethernet in China at least outside the main tourist areas. I use Windows 7 and can never log on via hotel ethernet connections in China (so far on this trip,Beijing,Zhengzhou,Luoyang and Xi-An). Maybe their routers need resetting to Windows 7(?) Unless your business is in or near the Xingyang District you will find this location has little to offer.
