The hotel was in the middle of major renovations/remodelling while I was there. But, the work was being done quietly and with consideration for the guests. There was some dust on the floor. But, the room was OK and service at the font desk was good. The hotel is a short taxi ride from the downtown railway station and about 15 minute ride from ZhengZhou East Station. There are shops and restaurants within easy walking distance, and the busy road outside the hotel has frequent taxis.

Jin Jiang Inns are sort of like the Chinese Motel 6 or America's Best Value. They are all over China. I am sure they very in quality depending on where they are in China, just like our bargain motels in the U.S. This one is not really ratty, just not luxurious for sure. That being said, though, The simple room was clean, bathroom small but clean and a couple of small extras like disposable slippers and free in-room wifi. Cost less than half of what a comparable room in U.S. would, so I'm cool with it! Drawback was it's on a busy secondary street so can get kind of noisy at traffic times. Not to stay in for a home base on vacation, but cool for a stopover. Breakfast buffet was pretty nice, too!
