"We Shall Return"
We stayed at the Hotel Geneve for 8 nights recently between December 25 and Jan 2. We found the place to be interesting, clean and the bedding very comfortable. The cantina and restaurant are rather pricey, but there are plenty of other choices just a few steps out the front door. Hotel Geneve is a beautiful historic hotel with loads of charm. The lobby staff is very helpful and friendly, especially Erick who can be found near the front entrance doors. We also found Margarita in the cantina to be friendly and helpful. Our chambermaid, Rufina, was tops. The room we had, 434, was quiet and large. It didn't have enough electrical outlets, which is to be expected from a hotel built 100 years ago, but we made do and easily overlooked. The price was right, but the breakfast was a bit steep but convenient. We will go back if we get the chance.

"I will definitely be back here!"
Breakfast every morning was fantastic! Service was phenomenal! Checkout 1 pm. Front desk had safes for our valuables. Cleaning crew rearranged/cleaned and reorganized all our stuff everyday when we got back! Taxis are a scam you need to watch out for. All Hotels scare you about how dangerous taxis are and get you to spend 10 fold on private cars. There are apps to check legit-ness of taxis and you have to watch out that the metering isn't on "tourist" mode.

"Great city, great location"
I stayed here for 16 days over the Christmas and New Year's holidays in 2014-15. It was a wonderful place, having excellent staff, a very clean and comfortable room and wonderful location. I only had three very minor complaints. My first problem is about noise, as I am a very light sleeper. There was both street noise and noise from in the hallway. The street noise is not controllable, and only happened on three nights. The hallway noise could be reduced by thicker doors, and perhaps by closing the bathroom window, which indireclty opens to the hallway. The second problem is the lack of a comfortable chair to sit and read. It would be a bit difficult to accommodate this, but it would have been quite useful. The third problem was that the dinner food was not as good as I would have liked. The breakfast was wonderful, either the buffet or ordering off the menu. And the prices were great. But, part of going to Mexico is to try a variety of foods, so this was not a major issue. These are very minor issues and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. This was my first trip to Mexico City and it was a great experience. The people of the City are very friendly and helpful and especially when I let them know that I was a tourist with limited Spanish.

"Super location - Good Price Point For Location."
Very good location, staff overall friendly. Room very large, larger than expected, with living room, huge bathroom area and very good large king bed in its own room. Only the AC was sometimes seeming not to cool enough and no real remedy was offered after a few requests, but it was not that hot outside so it was manageable. Very clean. Very central, and in Zona Rosa an extremely good option. They have a gym that I never even used and a business center if you need it downstairs. Breakfast I did not have but it looked and smelled good. Price point is good for value proposition. I will return on my next visit with 100% certainty.
