Fabulous Accommodations

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Located in a quiet area but close to train station, restaurants and a park.
Location: EMA House is close to the train station, in walking distance of great restaurants, close to a park.
This is a very nice hotel, located within walking distance of the train station. Upon arrival we received an upgraded room, with a beautiful view of the city and the mountains. The staff was friendly and helpful regarding all questions we had about the area. The breakfast was outstanding.

Great value and great location in Zurich

Posted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: Friendly, clean, spacious and good location
Cons: nothing really
Location: See above
I booked this for 3 of us (family) and was pleasantly surprised. We arrived really late as our flight was delayed and the receptionist stayed up. The staff there are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is brought to your room and there is a small kitchen with fridge. Location is central Zurich but not by the lake, however the tram is opposite the entrance and this is direct to the lake. Booked it for the Ironman event and was really pleased - would book again.

Very nice facilities, far from restaurants/shops

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Very spacious and modern.
Cons: Maybe have at least 1 staff on duty at all times. They had periods when there's no staff around, after 9pm. But , we felt safe the whole time.
Location: Very far from the hustle & bustle of the city. No restaurants & cafes. No little shops that you could browse around in. It's nice to walk by the lake.
From the Train Station, you need to take a taxi or tram to EMA House. When you're there, they give you a free unlimited tram pass for your entire stay! Without it and with heavy bags, but getting there was difficult for us. Afterwards, with the tram ticket, it was convenient the whole way!... We loved that EMA had a wonderful breakfast delivered to our room daily. It was part of our package. Now, that we know how to get there, next time we won't encounter the difficulties we had.

Excellent hotel close to zurich town

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Central location Spacious rooms and excellent breakfast Excellent Staff
Cons: More information on hotel website on how to get from airport to hotel using public transport. Much cheaper than taxi and only takes about 20-30 mins.
Location: Bahnofstrasse and old town Lake cruise Day excursions Uetliberg Rhine water falls
We had a very pleasant stay at the zurich all suite hotel. Staff were excellent and very helpful at all times. Very spacious rooms and excellent breakfast. The hotel is less than a minute from the tram and 5 mins from the town. Very central to all locations and excellent value for money. About 20-30 mins from airport using public transport, train from zurich airport to zurich HB (main station) and then tram from zurich Hb to beckenhoff tram stop (5 mins)

Nice hotel with a friendly and accommodating staff

Posted Jul 11, 2014
The hotel is centrally located with easy access to Old Town & Lake Zurich. It is also only a 10 minute walk to the train station with easy access to the airport & other destinations via rail. The rooms are spacious and clean. The only caveat is it is probably time for an updated decor.

outdated and not up to the expected level

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Apartment was quite large which was great. It did however had a confusing collection of very used and cheap furniture. Strangely internet router with a bunch of wires were hanging on the side of the minibar. Unfortunately WiFi was impossible to get connected to and once connected it was incredibly unreliable. Bath tub didn't drain and when brought up to the staff the proposed solution was a dirty plunger (god knows what it was used for) that was found somewhere and brought up to us so we can try and unclog it ourselves. On the positive side breakfast and plenty of it is brought up to your room at a designated time, unfortunately one of the days it didn't show up so we had to chase it. Overall disappointing and a bit stressful experience that I don't think we would be repeating.

EMA House

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Service and rooms
Cons: Fix the clothes dryer.
Location: EMA house is within walking distance of many of Zurich's best features. Public transport is available to take you anywhere.
Hotel staff and room were very nice. The laundry is self service which was a bit of a disappointment. The clothes dryer did not function well so doing laundry turned into a marathon experience. Other than the slight disappointment of laundry, this is a very nice place to stay.

Excellent hotel. A short walk from the City Centre. Very friendly staff and large rooms for European standards.
