“Not so convenient”

Our room was in a dark out of the way corridor and we had to walk past all the dirty meeting rooms to get to the elevators. Everywhere else in Switzerland we had free internet and the Hilton charged an exorbitant amount for online access. The bus runs every 20 minutes to and from the airport but we had to wait for the next bus twice because one time it was only for flight staff and the other time the bus was full and though he said another would be there in 10 minutes, it took the regular 20 for the next bus to come. The airport is an easy 10 minutes from Zurich so the convenience of the Airport Hilton isn't anymore convenient than Zurich itself. The restaurant at the Hilton was so expensive that we took the train to Zurich for dinner anyway.

Area recommendations

There is nothing near the airport. Stay in Zurich by the train station and there are restaurants, shopping and the beautiful lake.

“Extremely practical , friendly service and the restaurant was quite nice.”

I only spent tone night before flying back home from a long tour, and my son and I were quite comfortable, and the proximity to the airport(with shuttle service) was very convenient.

“Convenient overnight stay.”

Close to the airport but not to close to hear the plans. Awkward walk through service hall to get to the elevator and room. Rooms are very nice and updated. Restaurant and Bar were had good service and food.

“Excellent hotel with great food.”

Excellent food and service. Comfortable room. Convenient for airport and efficient shuttle service. Surrounding area not very interesting and nothing to do around the hotel without a car. However, very good experience and worked well for an airport hotel.

“Enjoyed our stay”

The hotel employees were very friendly and helpful. The shuttle service between the hotel and the Airport/Train Station was a real plus for us.

Area recommendations

We are not knowledgable enough of Zurich to make such a recommendation. The Hilton is not far from the airport/train station and was our major reason for choosing it as an overnight destination. It was an excellent experience.

Must see

We took a Trolley Tour of Zurich which gave us a quick and informative view of the city during the short time that we were to be there.

If you are traveling for business then this hotel is for you. Do not go for leisure. It is too far away from the city. Ideal if you are trying to catch a flight.

“Convenient to Airport”

Lower floors are actually below the street level and room smells slightly. Hotel lobby is at 4th floor. However, they have good airport shuttle service.

“Unique Airport hotel”

This hotel is a perfect airport hotel. All the convenience available and actually very quiet property for its location. The restaurant, while pricey, was surprisingly good and the service impeccable and friendly. The convenience of the shuttle to the airport made it a perfect choice.

Traveler's tip

The hotel is located on a hill next to a jogging track and the little town of Glattbrugg. In about 2 mn, you can take a nice walk and feel in the country side. We saw deers - for being about 5 mn away from an international airport, this was quite enjoyable.
