Pros: The location and the staff made it a great place to stay. The breakfast was the best we had during our stay in Europe.
Cons: It isn't fair to put expectations on a hotel with limited space. A gym is always nice to have in the hotel, but the Alexander is fine without one.
Location: The train station location, the variety of shops, and the outstanding restaurants so close in the area.
The Alexander is in a great location: close to the rail station, restaurants and the district that had most of the things that interest us, including shops and restaurants.

I would recommend you to sleep on the street!Posted Aug 8, 2014
Really bad experience! The hotel was not clean, there is a bad smell on the beds. The only good thing in our stay is the staff of the breakfast shift. And free Nespresso in the early morning.

Very good hotel, conveniently located in dt.Posted Jun 17, 2014
Friendly staff, good service, very clean but tiny rooms. Conveniently located close to most Zurich landmarks. Recommend for a short stay.

smart bijou room in good locationPosted May 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was a small single room but smartly furnished. Close to the centre of the tourist district, the noise was subdued because the room was on the top floor. The staff were all business-like and helpful.

Great locationPosted Aug 4, 2010
This hotel is conveniently located near restaurants, clubs, and the train station. Even though we were in a room above the street, the noise was minimal with the windows closed. [The air conditioner kept the room cool]. The room was very clean, and the welcome chocolate on the pillow was a nice touch.
