“großartiges Hotel, gute Hotelausstattung und wirklich optimale Lage”
- zentrale Lage, nähe Bahnhof Zürich - freundliches Personal - top Ausstattung der Zimmer - bequeme Betten - schöne Hotelbar
“Wonderful hotel”
This hotel is in a great location. When you look at a map it seems far from the train station but it's not. You walk out from the station under the angel statue above, walk across the river, go up a block and take a left. 5 minutes walking with our suitcases. The room was very large for a European room. Bed was feather pillows, comforter and feather bed. A little too many feathers for my boyfriend but I enjoyed it. Hotel was very clean. Close walk to old town and a COOP grocery store by the train station. Great Italian place "Pizza Romantico" and "Silberkegel" cafe on the same block. Chinese restaurant next door and greek place across the street. Zurich is a wonderful melting pot and we had an amazing trip. Book some tours if you can. The bus station is very close by the train station. Totally worth it.
“Very Nice”
Staff was very friendly and spoke great english, Rooms clean and fresh but very small, the bathroom was smaller than my own!!!!! But the bed was to die for. We slept very well, great position, just a short walk to old part of town and tram stops. We enjoyed out stay very much
“Excellent Business Hotel”
Everything "works" well at this hotel. The bar is quit, a great place to meet for an afternoon business cocktail. The hotel is one short tram stop from the train station. There are excellent, moderately priced restaurants on both sides. The rooms and amenities are always excellent.
“Can't go Wrong with Hotel Continental”
This Hotel is in a great location and the staff were all extremely kind and helpful. A breakfast buffet was included in our rate and it was very well done. Great food and service. Our bathroom was immaculate and the hotel is in very good condition given it's age. This is a no frills hotel however it was a prefect choice for us as we booked for comfort, location, and cleanliness over the amenities of a 5 star hotel. I suggest staying at the Hotel Continental. You simply can't go wrong.
“Great hotel, great value”
The hotel and staff were both very good and we totally enjoyed staying there. I would go back in stay there again. Very convienent to the train station, and shops.Very comfortable bed and quiet room.
“Perfect location”
The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Zurich train station. Close to all sights, shops and restaurants. We felt safe in the area at all times of the day and it was easay to find. The hotel staff was very friendly and the romm was terrific.
“Affordable Simple Luxury in Spendy Switzerland”
We arrived here after a difficult 4 days in Italy and felt like we'd been deposited in a little corner of heaven. We are not usually luxury hotel people, and don't consider ourselves high maintenance travelers, so for us this was almost over the top. Upon arrival we were given a few free cocktail coupons for the on site bar which we used later that evening and watched some World Cup. There was also some refreshing Swiss Apple Juice in the lobby. Our room was small, but by Euro standards, palatial. The bath was large enough that I took a soak bath with the wonderful and plentiful bath goodies provided. The hotel is within a 15 minute walk to the main train station and about 10 minutes to your choice of great restaurants! Very easy for us to find all we needed. Well, almost. We were in desperate need of some laundry facilities after 2 weeks of travel and when I asked the man at the front desk he told me they don't have self laundry outside of $$$ dry cleaning through the hotel, which he offered. Thankfully we happened upon the most helpful cab driver who took us to another neighborhood about 15 minutes by cab and where there was a laundromat. We enjoyed Zurich quite a bit, but it is expensive and there weren't a lot of things to do. We loved the Chagall windows at the Fraumunster. Zurich was a great starting place for our trip into the Alps via Bern and the Thunersee.
“Fabulous hotel!!”
Excellent hotel. Very nice room. Courteous and efficient staff.
“GREAT PLACE, Convenient to many things.....”
The location of this hotel was PERFECT. IT was near the train station, the departure area for tours, the SWISS National museum (a must see ) and of course the famous Bahnhofstrasse. The size and cleanliness of the room were wonderful and the hotel staff was very firendly. There was even a large container of fresh apple juice in the lobby for all to share. The breakfast buffet was expensive though, but not to fret, there are lots of alternatives near (the rail station has an entire mall underneath it) and the CO OP has very fair prices.OH and the SHOWER WAS TO DIE FOR, even though the half glass thing was annoying. Hotel was ready as soon as we got in (early) so that was a plus.
