This is a truly wonderful hotel. Room was big and airy, comfortable bed, good quality shower, lovely toiletries in bathroom. Location is great, walkable to most of sights, and very near a tram stop for going further afield. Restaurants a stones throw away. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location was fantastic. For the price though they should have had better beds. They were much too hard and lumpy. The room was much too light at night with light seeping through the top and sides of the curtains. Breakfast was a bit pricey for what was offered.

Lovely Boutique Hotel
The location and cleanliness could not have been better. The room truly was immaculate and we were steps away from some of the more sought after historic buildings. Being close to the water was also a plus as we enjoyed strolling along it in the evening enjoying the beauty of the lights and the accordion player. As a runner I appreciated being close to sidewalks that led me to the river’s edge. Water pressure in the shower was great. Lighting in the bathroom was good. The bed comforter was very nice. Staff loaned us an outlet converter for our electronics, since the one I purchased before journeying abroad did not work. There was no fee for this. Staff was friendly and helpful in assisting us in purchasing tram tickets ahead of time. It was quite convenient to have a tram stop a few hundred feet or left from the front door. The breakfast was very nice and included hot and cold items. Coffee and tea service was around the clock and wine was available around the click on an honor system. These items were not offered in the room itself, which did not bother us in the slightest. Lovely boutique hotel.

Excellent boutique hotel and friendly service! Even the housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful. The front desk staff was wonderful in making restaurant recommendations and offering tourism tips. Special thanks to Paul who was spot on with restaurant recommendations and made our stay very fun! Highly recommend!

Spacious room for 3 people. Clean and comfortable. Room did get a bit hot as we were on the 4th floor and A/C didn't seem to cool as much as expected. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Location can't be beat as you can walk to so many great places and also have easy access to trams, buses and trains. Expensive, but that's the quality of the hotel, the size of room the location and being in the Old Town of Zurich.

Our A/C is not in service yet, since the outside temperature is barely reaching 15C and we still had minus temperatures during the night. Staff was incredibly helpful when we needed a reservation for dinner, directions to a destination and umbrellas for a walk in the rain. The room was spacious and beds were super comfortable. The location was excellent, the amenities were great. Would absolutely stay here again and would def recommend this to a friend.

Location location location!!!! Staff are very helpful Helmhaus is tucked in the heart of Zurich peace and quiet. Walkable to everywhere. Train Station,Tram, Zurick lake is few steps from the Hotel. Breakfast is great ! When booking include the free breakfast it makes a huge difference in budgeting. Save it for shopping! 😉 Highly recommended. Husband and I are very happy we stayed 8 nights in Hotel Helmhaus

Great location - very convenient to walk around the old town and near the lake. Staff are super friendly and very helpful. Rooms are modern and clean. We are a family of five and stayed in two connecting rooms on the top floor. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to any family coming to Zürich!

The Helmhaus is basic and efficient rather than luxurious, but it was perfect for what it offered: extremely clean, very helpful, friendly, and considerate staff, an ideal location, and an ample and delicious breakfast buffet. I could not have asked for a better experience.

We loved everything about the property, staff and location and of course the view. I wish we didn’t have to make dinner reservations and could just eat dinner at hotel whenever we wanted. There were a couple of nights we didn’t feel like going out to eat because we were tired from walking, traveling, activities, etc. and eating at the hotel would have been nice. We don’t like eating dinner in our room (room service). And we never knew when we would return from exploring so staying in and eating at hotel would have been perfect. We were told the restaurant was full and that we needed to make reservations. Other than that, I would highly recommend this property and I would stay here again.

Superb stay!
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Helmhaus for our much delayed, post-COVID honeymoon. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the accommodations are beautiful and comfortable, and the location is unbeatable. You will not regret staying here!

Nice stay at the Helmhaus
My family stayed at the Helmhaus hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent - it is right near the river, very close to restaurants and shops. Our rooms were very nice and clean and updated with a lot of nice perks. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was nice. Overall, would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Perfect for a short Zurich stay
This hotel is 700 years old but you would never know it! Clean and comfortable rooms (but small rooms!) and in a great location.

Very comfortable and really nice decor. Super clean and smelled really good. Front desk very really nice and helpful and even help us in shipping the airpods case we left. Very good location and I highly recommend it.

A Old Town gem!
This is truly an Old Town gem! Clean, comfortable and friendly, it's everything one could ask for in an inner-city hotel. A shout out to Esther who couldn't have been more generous with her time. She made the visit!
