Pros: 清潔さです。
Cons: もう少し、広さが欲しい。
Location: 非常に便利な場所です。
難点は、本当に寝るだけの、広さである事。ビジネスホテルとしてなら、非常に快適ですが、老人夫婦には、 やはり、窮屈な感じでした。

Location: Excellent location ,close to everything.
Staff friendly and professional. Rooms clean and nice. Breakfast very good and plenty. It is almost impossible to find anything wrong. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Thank to staff and management.

Excellent Service & Modern Hotel

Pros: Staff was warm, welcoming and provided excellent service. Compared to other hotels we stayed at in Zurich, Helmhaus is rated best.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Old town right out the door. Restaurants and shopping within minutes by foot. Zurich HB less than 10 minutes. View of Limmat River.
Best location for walking distance to all of the best restaurants and museums. Zurich HB about 10 minutes by foot. The old town is right outside the door. Check in was great - very easy and fast. We were offered local Swiss wine after check in and it was delicious. The room was nice, felt more like we were at a nice room in someone's home than a hotel, very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was very modern and had great water pressure. Lots of outlets in room made it easy to power up 2 cell phones, curling iron and use hair dryer at same time. Had no problem using US electric adapter. The staff were excellent and very friendly. We had to leave for US bound flight at 5:45AM and staff delivered breakfast (croissants, fruit, coffee, bottled water etc) to our room while we were getting ready so we could eat breakfast before our early departure for flight - that's Excellent Service!! Will definitely stay again at Helmhaus when in Zurich.

Nice hotel close to attractions and restaurants

The hotel is located in one of the best areas in town, walking distance to major attractions and great restaurants. The staff is incredibly polite and friendly. The breakfast buffet easily met expectations. While the hotel building is supposed to be 100s of years old, there are no signs of it except in the fact that the rooms are small. The rooms are, in fact, quite modern and easily convey a boutique feeling. So, if one is hoping (like me) to stay in a historic property, then one could be disappointed. Overall, it was a great experience staying at the hotel.

Spent 3 nights in this hotel in Zurich, traveled as a couple for leisure. This hotel is truly outstanding, we have stayed in hotels around the world and this one stood out for the exceptional service received from every person on the staff as well as the very well-kept facilities. Every front desk person we spoke with was friendly, knowledgeable and engaged in their job. The housekeeping staff has obviously been very well trained to do their part as well and it showed everyday - nothing slips through the cracks here. The breakfast attendant was the same, exceptional service and presentation is the norm here - and the breakfast was fantastic! The location was perfect for us, close to restaurants and shopping and some great sightseeing. Highly recommend the free guided walking tour of Zurich (suggested by the front desk when we checked in) for a great overview.

Best stay in Zurich, yet!

Pros: In addition to all that I mentioned above, the best was the continental breakfast. It had so many things that were all fresh and delicious.
Cons: I hate to even mention it, but I could easily hear the footsteps of the guests above (but no voices, so that was fine).
Location: It's super close to the old town, bars, restaurants and the Grossmunster. It is steps from the Limmat where there are many nice places to sit.
I have stayed in 5 hotels in Zurich. This was my favorite. The location was wonderful, the staff was super-nice and friendly. The rooms were great. The bathrooms were modern and comfortable. The decor was crisp and clean. Even the artwork used throughout the hotel was well selected (all by one artist, so it added a nice uniformity throughout the hotel). I spent 4 days there with my teenage son on business, and it had everything we both wanted (lots of wifi and a good shower for him, great decor, comfortable beds and Swiss duvets for me). The breakfast was great (my son probably drank a whole pitcher of fresh orange juice every morning)! I also liked how it was so close to the tram.

Arrivés à l'hôtel vers 16h accueil très froid réceptionniste pas du tout souriante à la limite désagréable. En plus nous avions oublié de regarder sur internet lors de la réservation si il acceptait les chiens.Justement nous avons un tout petit chien.On nous a donc fait comprendre que la direction de l'hôtel allait prendre la décision soit on restait soit on partait mais comme nous avions déjà réglé la réservation par internet la direction a donc décidé que nous pouvions rester car cela compliquait les choses si la direction devait nous rembourser la chambre si nous allions ailleurs.Du coup l'hôtel nous a réclamé Frs.50.-- supplémentaire pour le chien. Cela s'appelle profiter d'une situation. Résultat plus du tout envie de retourner dans cet hôtel. PS. La literie et les oreillers vraiment pas confortable.

In general we do receive very good comments about the comfort of our rooms and the quality of our beds. New high quality Swiss mattresses as well as new sheets and bed linen have replaced the previous fittings. Also do we regret to learn about your dissatisfaction in regards to our well-meant concession to you in regards to the dog you brought with you. We have offered you to stay under certain conditions in regards to your dog instead of simply rejecting it. Thus you did not have to search for another hotel. If you felt that we took advantage of the situation – this was definitely not the case. We do ask for your understanding that by bringing a pet (dog, cat, etc) to a hotel that is not prepared for it an additional effort of cleaning is put on the housekeeping: the room has to have a special cleaning of pet’s hair in case the following guests react allergically to it. So the supplement of CHF 50.00 was made. This is customary in many hotels. We are sorry if you felt our team members having been unfriendly during that situation upon your arrival. As bystander during your check in I ensure you that the conditions and facts in regards to the exception made with your dog were being professionally and politely communicated to you.
