The hotel was very reasonably priced and really convenient as it was very close to the train station. The staff were nice enough but not especially helpful. The room was spacious and the shower very nice. There were virtually no places to charge electronics and no full length mirror. The area is a bit rough looking but probably partially due to its proximity to the train station. It worked for a one night stay.

It is a very average hotel. The good things is the location. Very small rooms. No air conditioner. Ok for one night if you want to stay near the station. Do not recommend for family.

We had a great time in Zurich and the hotel was great for a three star. Conveniently placed in the city near the train. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. No complaints!

We stayed at this hotel when we arrived and then again for two nights at the end of our vacation. The location is very close to the Zurich HB, making no need for a cab. The location was rather noisy so sleeping with the windows open is not possible. The unit was very warm so we struggled to keep the temperature down. The room was otherwise very functional. The staff was great and the breakfast was very good and tasty. The heating was in the floor which was nice but i would be concerned to book this property in the warmer months given that there was no air conditioning and the outside tends to be noisy. It was very close to the old town, making walking trips to the attractions very easy. Overall, we enjoyed this property.

Very comfortable beds and luxurious down quilts and the breakfast was amazing! Staff was very contentious and quite helpful. Close proximity to a market and also to main train station. We would stay again.

The Hotel Montana was so very convenient to the main train station. There was a nice person at the front desk who answered my questions. The breakfast buffet was full of great options, including fabulous Swiss coffee. I felt safe in my room, and it was very clean.

I expected as a hotel there would be a lounge bar, to relax and have a drink in the evening, so I was disappointed there was none, and any decent one was a bit far away from the hotel

check in was super easy and quick, once we areived to our room we realized we didnt have hot water or wifi. which was unfortunate after a long day of travelling. after approaching the ladies at the front desk, who were very nice and understanding, they said they would try to fix it. a few hours later we did finally get hot water, however we didnt have wifi in our room our entire stay, it only worked in the lobby. the breakfast was great and it was so lovely they had vegan options and oat milk for coffee! we loved how close th hotel was to the train station, as we used trains as our main mode of transportation

Central hotel but small rooms and uncomfortable
The hotel is handy for the train station and the city of Zurich. We paid for a superior room but it was very small. Our curtains were stained, some of the flooring came up as you walked on it, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Poor quality pillows and really hard mattress. The walls are also very thin so you were kept up by neighbours, as well as woken up early by nearby construction which wasnt mentioned. When checking in staff were vague and we had to ask questions about breakfast etc - we were only told our room number without instructions on reaching the room. We did query whether we had been allocated the correct room and apparently we had - so the superior rooms are quite small. Not great value for money. Breakfast is included - this includes a choice of a range of cereals, pastries and yogurts.

Check in and check out are all self-service which are also easy and convenient. Staffs were very kind and they even let us have our breakfast as take away since we were leaving early during our stay. Highly recommended and would definitely come back!

Next door is a porn shop. Noisy outside our window, had it open as it was too warm and couldn't turn the heat down cool enough. Need washcloths and more hooks for towels in the bathroom. Also a nonslip mat in the deep tub would be nice. Breakfasts were ok, but most of the glasses were dirty on the outside, had to go through them to find one without stuff stuck to it. Expensive.

The staff were very helpful at check-in, allowing us to store our bags as we toured the surrounding area until check-in. The room was very clean and the hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station. Location could not have been better. Breakfast included in our stay was wonderful with fresh bread and an assortment of food options. Highly recommend Hotel Montana. Great travelers hotel, conveniently located.

Check in is self check in with a machine so expect no possibility of an early check in. Walls are thin, I can hear noises very clearly such as people walking in the hallway. Room is clean and decent sized. It is okay for 1 night stay

TERRIBLE HOTEL! STAY AT OWN RISK!
ELEVATOR BROKE DOWN FOR 6-8 HOURS. We were on THIRD FLOOR. Housekeeping LEFT VACCUUM IN ELEVATOR. A HAZARD for EVERYONE! SHOWER IN BATHROOM KEPT SLIDING DOWN. Had to use a bandaid to make it work! ON 04/12/23, NO HOT WATER! Was told would be fixed in a 30 minutes. Called again. Told 30 minutes. Called again, was told 30 minutes. Called again, was told hot water would be working by next morning. We were told Manger would be available the next morning. WATER WAS ICE COLD. We COULD NOT SHOWER! 05/12/23, STILL NO HOT WATER. We COULD NOT TAKE A SHOWER. KEPT ASKING FOR MANAGER to REFUND our ONE NIGHT STAY OF $170.00. MANAGER, would not respond to our request! Would not return our calls! REFUSED to respond to us.
Had to use a band-aid to have shower work!

We had a payment issue at checkin on self service kiosk. We had no hot water even after it was promised by reception and no heat. There was bad mold around shower but we had NO HOT WATER night or morning so we did not use shower. Please refund our money because a lack of service.
