Wonderful!Posted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: Stylish rooms
Cons: The shower was a bit leaky
We loved our stay at the Helvetia. The neighborhood was fantastic with easy access to the train and the staff were all so nice.

Noisy hotel close to the centerPosted May 25, 2014
It was business trip with one night. Very noisy, but not so far to the center of city

Centrally located, very pleasant staffPosted Nov 11, 2013
Pros: Location, staff.
Cons: The rooms could use a bit of paint refreshing.
Location: Centrally located to downtown, the historic district and the lake. Don't think we walked more than 15 minutes to ant attraction.
Nice, sizable room even though it was listed as a small double. Almost like staying in an apartment as there is no real lobby or front desk. Arrived from an overnight train in the morning and was allowed to check in which was nice. As we left for our return train it was raining and we were offered a hotel umbrella knowing it wouldn't be returned. My only complaints is that it can be alittle noisy at night if the windows are left open.

Nice botique hotelPosted Aug 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great hotel without the usual hotel feeling. Reception is in the restaurants bar and everything is very low key, yet cool and trendy. Restaurant is great for both breakfast and dinner and the roof top bar is great for a drink after a day of seightseeing. All in all a great hotel. only minus was that there is no aircondition which made it hard to sleep comfortable in 35c day heat.

Good Design But Only For A NightPosted May 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
If in Zurich for one night, this young boutique hotel is a wonderful option. The design aesthetic is modern and thoughtful, but the rooms are tiny, even for Europe. The room was so petite, that it was difficult to navigate without bumping into furniture and getting in/out of our suitcase proved challenging! Kiehls bath products were a very nice and welcomed touch. Do pop down to their charming restaurant on the ground floor for breakfast. It's superb.

Trendy cool in heart of ZürichPosted Apr 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel Restaurant Helvetia is such a cool place! On the outside, it looks, like the old building it is, but on the inside, everything is state of the art. They give you a key so you can easily come and go. The hotel is a short walk to the tram stop. The staff is very nice and polite. The bed was super comfy. Enjoyed all the Kiehl's amenities. We didn't get a chance to try the food, but really loved the room.

I really enjoyed my stay at Helvetia. Stylish restaurant/bar downstairs, nice roof-top bar and very nice small hotel rooms.
