Old-fashioned hotel just fine.Posted May 25, 2014
You might feel thrown back to an older way of European travel--tiny elevator you never use, hallways dark until you throw the switch, small rooms with the sink just outside the bathroom. Absolutely nothing wrong with this because with a reasonable tariff you get a spotlessly clean room, good beds, as much attention from the staff as you want, and a breakfast with all the amenities. A flurry of very good restaurants are close by and the walk to the central city is taken along a charming canal.

Quaint hotel in great areaPosted May 13, 2014
Very pleasant staff. Not much english spoken. Room was a little small, but still comfortable. Close to nice cafes and local restaurants and easy walk to the middle of town and train station. Excellent herb shop 'Chilli' Just around the corner and well worth a visit.

Pros: The room was clean. The hotel is in the city centre, a 15 minute walk from the main train station (Zurich Bahnhoff). The hotel is on a quiet street.

Friendly staff in ZurichPosted Aug 16, 2011
A nice hotel in a relatively quiet neighborhood in Zurich, St. George's hotel is well worth the stay. It's right near many authentic restaurants and a tram stop that services several lines so you can get wherever you want in the city. Complimentary breakfast was included in the price and it was excellent. The hotel staff was very friendly, letting us borrow an outlet adapter and giving us some advice on restaurants nearby. We booked a room with a shared bathroom and shower on the floor due to the lower price and we never had any problems with cleanliness or occupancy.

Family-run hotel conveniently located to city center. Rooms were not huge, but modern and tastefully furnished and decorated. Very friendly staff. Breakfast excellent.
