Superb Hotel. Outstanding ServicePosted Oct 10, 2013
Pros: Service, food and beautiful ambience and surroundings.
This is a Hotel which is perfect for a relaxed stay. It is away from the main town(though a shuttle runs every hour till 6 pm), which would make it inconvenient if you were there on work. The food at the restaurants is outstanding. The service is impeccable.

Should be ranked a six star.....unbelievable tech.Posted Jul 27, 2013
The technology at the Dolder Grand surpasses anything I have ever seen before. This hotel is in a class of its own....one of the best I have ever stayed at.

Longing for the past..Posted Jul 15, 2013
Pros: The view from my room.
Cons: The disappearance of the view from the terrace.
Location: It's superb for a walk around the nearby forest and views of Zurich, the Alps and the lake. It's a short cog-wheel tram down the hill to town.
I used to lunch and /or stay at the Dolder Grand when it was "grand." It was "renovated" (re-modelled) a few years ago - and aimed at people who like cookie cutter luxury of the bling bling kind. It used to be a truly grand oasis of peace, taste and manners. It is still peaceful, but it seems that this is because it does not seem to attract many people. Lunch on the terrace used to have a grand view - and a grand old maitre d'hotel - who understood exactly how Dover Sole should be boned and served intact, and why a flinty chablis mattered. The Dolder Grand is still grand, but is "grandstanding" and not "grandiose." I'll keep it as a memory, but not a destination.

Very good and confortable rooms. Staff was amazing. The restaurant is something else! Downside is only the location which is a little far from the center. But will certanly be back!

Beautiful Hotel. Fantastic remodel of interior. Staff very friendly and concierge very helpful. The location is not convenient to town, but that is the price for having a beautiful secluded location with a terrific view of Zurich and the alps in the distance. Food is good. Not inexpensive, but since Zurich is rated by some as the most expensive city in the world, you can't expect cheap prices. Truly a 5 Star hotel while many 5 Star hotels in Eurpope including Monaco and nice are a little long in the tooth and in need of serious remodeling like the Dolder. I will definitely stay there again when in Zurich even though I have business downtown each time I go there.

Fantastic stay at the DolderPosted Mar 29, 2013
Pros: The pool and spa area
Cons: The Dolder is quite expensive but you do get the true 5 star experience.
The Dolder is a stunning hotel not far from Zurich centre that has fantastic views over the city, forrest and lake. The spa facilities are world class and all the staff are friendly an helpful. We appreciated the free shuttle bus service into the city and ate at both restaurants preferring the Garden Restaurant.

A lovely place to stayPosted Aug 11, 2012 on Hotels.com
This hotel and it's staff are excellent in every way. My family and I would stay here again. The concierge is excellent giving it's guest truly listening to what the guest wants and offering the best advice, not funnelling them to specific restaurants or places they have business arrangements with. The only small drawback from the entire experience was the shuttle into the city stops working at 6 pm.
