Aloha Airlines Halts Passenger Service

Effective March 31, 2008, Aloha Airlines ceased operations and cancelled all future passenger flights. Tickets for flights after Monday will not be honored. Other airlines have announced they will accommodate impacted travelers, so please contact the airlines directly.
  • Transpacific Travel:
    • United Airlines is offering discounted one-way fares, based on availability. See details: http://www.united.com/page/article/0,6722,52609,00.html
    • Continental Airlines is accepting customers originally scheduled for travel between Honolulu (HNL) and Los Angeles (LAX) on a standby basis from March 31, 2008 for travel through April 30, 2008. A ticketing fee of $100.00 plus all taxes, per segment, will be charged.
    • American Airlines is waiving advance purchase restrictions for impacted travelers, allowing them to purchase new tickets in the appropriate inventory classes.
    • US Airways is allowing customers to travel on a space available standby basis for a $100 fare per person, per non-stop segment, plus any applicable taxes and fees. The following rules apply:
      • Travelers are advised that space is very limited.
      • Travel must be completed by April 7, 2008.
      • Standby tickets may be purchased exclusively through US Airways reservations at 800-428-4322; these fares are not available for purchase at the airport.
      • At time of check-in, customers must show proof of purchase on Aloha Airlines. Proof may include an e-ticket confirmation letter, an e-ticket receipt, an e-ticket itinerary card, or paper tickets printed by Aloha Airlines. US Airways agents cannot accept photocopies.
  • Inter-island Travel:
    • Hawaiian Airlines is offering discounted inter-island tickets starting at $49 each way, based on availability. Tickets must be purchased by April 7. Additionally, Hawaiian airlines is allowing passengers to travel on a stand-by, space available basis for no charge through April 3, 2008. See details: www.HawaiianAir.com/AlohaAssistance/
  • Expedia is waiving any applicable change or cancellation fees resulting from these itinerary changes.
  • To receive a refund for tickets:
    • If billed by Aloha Airlines, contact your credit card company or bank to file a dispute.
    • If billed by Expedia, please contact Expedia.com Customer Support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-EXPEDIA (1-800-397-3342) or 1-404-728-8787.
    Please check your credit card statement to verify who has billed your credit card for your original airline ticket purchase.
