Flight-only and car itineraries do not qualify for ThankYou Points from Expedia.

You’ll accrue points for those items where Expedia provides the most traveler value—hotels, vacation packages, activities totaling $50 or more, cruises, and activities of $50 or more or hotels added to flight itineraries.

If you have a ThankYou Member Account number stored in your Expedia account, the number of ThankYou Points is displayed on the “Billing and Delivery” page prior to booking, as well as on the “Confirmation” page and itinerary.

If you don't have a ThankYou Member Account number stored in your Expedia account, you won't see the number of ThankYou Points you can earn for the trip until the booking has been completed. At that point, in order to receive the points, you'll have to manually add a ThankYou Member Account number to the itinerary before the trip begins. You can do this on the “My Itineraries” page.

Yes. Earning is associated with an account, rather than a person. So, you earn points for booking travel for other people, even when you don’t travel with them.

There are several ways to get ThankYou Points beyond booking travel on Expedia:

You can earn points for purchases when you use the "Get Points for Shopping" benefit either online through ThankYou Network or in-store using an eligble Citi® credit card at participating retailers.

You can also earn points via a sponsor account, such as a participating Citi® credit card, an enrolled Smith Barney financial management account (FMA) with an activated FMA card, or an eligible Citibank® checking account with a linked debit card.

ThankYou Members may also get bonus points through special ThankYou Network promotions.

You can purchase ThankYou Points at the time of redemption, in increments of 1,000 for $25, up to a maximum of the total points available to you for redemption. You may purchase a maximum of 30,000 points per calendar year, or the amount needed to offset any PremierPass flight points.

There is no limit to the number of points you can earn on Expedia.

This may not be the case with other ThankYou Network sponsors. We recommend carefully reviewing the specific terms and conditions that you receive in your other sponsor account materials.

You’ll continue to accrue miles in any airline loyalty programs in addition to earning ThankYou Points when you book qualifying travel. Your frequent flier programs are unaffected by participation in ThankYou Network.

Points will not expire as long as you either accrue or redeem points at least once every three years. There is no limit to the number of points you can earn.

As long as you already have your ThankYou Member Account number stored in your Expedia account profile, it’s automatically added to your itinerary. If your number is not stored in your Expedia account profile, you can add it when you enter your payment information at the time of booking. If you’ve already completed the booking, you can still add a ThankYou Member Account number to any qualified existing itinerary prior to the last day of your trip.

No. But you can add a ThankYou Member Account number manually to an active itinerary by accessing it from your “My Itineraries” page. Once you’ve added the number to your profile, it will be stored there. You only need to add it once. The ThankYou Member Account number added must belong to one of the following: the traveler(s) listed on the itinerary, the primary credit card holder, or the Expedia.com account holder.

No. Only one ThankYou Member Account may earn points for a single itinerary, regardless of the number of travelers.
