Expedia Customer Terms and Conditions
ThankYou Network, a free rewards program, has made arrangements with Expedia to offer its customers the opportunity to enroll in and become members of ThankYou Network ("ThankYou Members") and receive ThankYou Member Accounts. As a ThankYou Member, you will be able to earn ThankYou Network points ("ThankYou Points") for travel arrangements made through Expedia. After Expedia transfers the ThankYou Points from your Expedia Account to your ThankYou Member Account, the ThankYou Points will be eligible to be redeemed for ThankYou Network rewards.
Enrollment in ThankYou Network is completely optional and is not required for use of Expedia. The following rules apply to Expedia customers who choose to participate in ThankYou Network while using Expedia. Expedia reserves the right to change these program rules (including items' eligibility to earn points, as well as point-earning levels) at any time without additional notice. Users are deemed to be apprised of and bound by all new changes once they are posted.
Enrollment and Activation in ThankYou Network
In order to participate in ThankYou Network, you must first enroll to obtain a ThankYou Member Account.
If you enroll through Expedia, a ThankYou Member Account will be set up for you. If you have previously joined ThankYou Network through another ThankYou Sponsor, you do not need to enroll again in order to earn ThankYou Points on Expedia. The enrollment information you provide to Expedia will be shared with ThankYou Network, as will limited trip information.
After enrolling in ThankYou Network, you must activate your ThankYou Member Account by activating on
www.thankyou.com or by calling 1-800-THANKYOU (1-800-842-6596) in order to redeem your points.
ThankYou Points
- To receive ThankYou Points for a booking on Expedia, you must have a valid ThankYou Member Account number linked to your itinerary. This account number must belong to someone directly associated with the itinerary: the traveler(s), the primary credit card holder, or the Expedia Account holder booking the trip.
- A ThankYou Member Account number may be linked to an itinerary at any time before travel begins.
- Four to six weeks after travel is completed, Expedia will transfer the ThankYou Points earned to the ThankYou Member Account associated with that itinerary.
- Expedia reserves the right to rescind at any time any ThankYou Points that were granted for unused travel items. ThankYou Points will be rescinded in cases where a customer receives a refund, from either Expedia or a travel vendor, and/or for travel items for which ThankYou Points were granted. In addition, bookings discovered to be fraudulent will have their ThankYou Points rescinded. To contest the rescinding of ThankYou Points, please call 1-800-THANKYOU (1-800-842-6596).
Travel Items Eligible for ThankYou Points
Earn one ThankYou Point for every dollar spent directly on the following travel items booked through Expedia (not including taxes, tax-recovery charges or fees):
- Hotels
- Flight + hotel on the same itinerary
- Cruises
- Vacation packages (i.e., flight, hotel, and/or car packages booked via the "vacation package" tab on Expedia.com; however, please note that flight + rental car does not qualify as a vacation package)
- Activities and services totaling at least $50
- Flight + activities and services totaling at least $50 on the same itinerary
Examples of itineraries that would qualify for ThankYou Points:
- Flight + hotel vacation package
- Flight to Las Vegas plus a sightseeing tour of the Grand Canyon for two, at $30/per person
Bonus Point Offers
Bonus point bookings are subject to availability at the time of booking and all applicable terms and conditions. Bonus points will post to your ThankYou Member Account 8-12 weeks after your trip has ended. Bonus point offers are valid only for bookings made from within the 50 United States on Expedia.com. Bonus point offers apply to changed bookings as long as they fall within the promotion period. Bonus point offers do not apply to cancelled bookings. You may redeem each bonus point offer only once, and the offer may not be combined with any other offer. Offers are limited to the offer recipient and are not transferable. Offers are not redeemable for cash. Void where prohibited.
Exclusions
The following travel items are
not eligible to earn ThankYou Points:
- Stand-alone flights
- Stand-alone rental cars
- Rental cars not part of a vacation package
- Activities and services totaling less than $50 (unless part of a vacation package)
- Flight + rental car
Points Expiration
ThankYou Points earned through Expedia will not expire as long as you have qualifying purchase or redemption activity through either Expedia or ThankYou Network at least once every three calendar years.
ThankYou Network Program Changes
ThankYou Network or any portion thereof may be revised or terminated with 30 days prior written notice. Any revisions may affect your ability to use the ThankYou Points you have already accumulated. ThankYou Network rewards – as well as point levels required for specific ThankYou Network rewards – may be changed, substituted, or adjusted at any time without prior notification. If your ThankYou Member Account is closed for any reason, you will lose any ThankYou Points in that account. If your Expedia account is closed, you will no longer be able to accumulate ThankYou Points through that account, and you may lose the ThankYou Points that you earned through Expedia and through ThankYou Network. If all of your Sponsor Accounts are closed, ThankYou Network may close your ThankYou Member Account.
If ThankYou Network is terminated, all accumulated ThankYou Points must be redeemed within 90 days from the termination date.
