  • Are my ThankYou® Points still valid?

    Yes, your ThankYou® Points are still valid. As always, you can redeem them for merchandise on ThankYou.com.

  • How do I earn points with my purchases through Expedia?

    For every dollar you spend using the Citi PremierPass®/Expedia.com® World MasterCard® on Expedia, you can earn 2 points.
    For example, you always earn 2 points for every dollar you spend on:

      • Flights
      • Packages booked via the packages tab
      • Expedia® Special Rate Hotels
      • Activities

  • How do I earn points for the miles I fly?

    You automatically earn points for the miles you fly on any airline no matter how you book. When you purchase tickets for others, you also earn points for the miles they fly.
      • With the Elite Card, earn 1 point for every 1 mile you fly.
      • With the No Fee Card, earn 1 point for every 3 miles you fly.

  • How many points can I earn in a year?

    With the Citi PremierPass/Expedia Card, you can earn a maximum of 100,000 points per calendar year; only 50,000 of these points may be earned from miles flown. With the Elite card, you can earn a maximum of 200,000 points per calendar year; only 100,000 of these points may be earned from miles flown. Points from Expedia are not subject to an annual cap.

  • How else can I earn points with my Citi PremierPass/Expedia.com Card?

    For every dollar you spend on purchases wherever you use the card, you'll earn at least one point per dollar. If you chose to apply for the Elite Card, you'll earn double points on purchases at supermarkets, drugstores, gas stations, parking, and transportation.

  • Can I earn points when I book travel for someone else?

    Yes, you earn points for booking travel for other people, even when you don't travel with them. You earn points for the purchase of their ticket and for the miles they fly.

  • Do my points expire?

    Points earned with your card will not expire, as long as you make one purchase with the Citi PremierPass/Expedia.com Card every 18 months. Please note, however, that if Citi® ThankYou® Rewards is terminated, all accumulated ThankYou Points must be redeemed within 90 days from the termination date.

  • How long does it take to get my application approved?

    Your application may be approved instantly, however, in some cases, we will need more time to process your application. In that instance, you'll be notified of your status by mail within 30 business days.

    If you're instantly approved online your account may also be available for immediate use at Expedia, provided that you are given instant authorization:
    1. If you are Instantly Authorized - you will have a temporary credit line that you can use immediately to book your travel at Expedia. You'll be given a permanent card number, a temporary spending limit, temporary expiration date, and your temporary credit card verification (CCV) number. You can begin using your card information immediately to make purchases at Expedia. Your physical card with your permanent revolving credit line will arrive in the mail in 14 days.
    2. If you are not Instantly Authorized - your account will not be available for immediate use. In this case, your card should arrive in the mail within 14 days.

  • How do I receive $50 or $100 off my first purchase?

    Whether or not you are Instantly Authorized for immediate use of the account, you will qualify to receive your statement credit when you make your first eligible purchase on Expedia. $50 (No Fee Card) or $100 (Elite Card) will be automatically credited to your statement. Please note that the discounted total will not appear during the checkout process on Expedia. Car reservations that are not booked as part of a vacation package (via the "vacation package" tab on the Expedia.com site), cruise bookings, and hotel reservations for non-"Expedia® Special Rate hotels" do no qualify.

  • Once I have the Citi PremierPass/Expedia.com Card, how soon can I begin earning points?

    You'll earn points towards rewards with your first purchase after your application is approved. Keep in mind that there will be a temporary spending limit in place and that it will take 14 days to receive your physical Citi PremierPass/Expedia.com Card and revolving credit line.

  • Where can I see my point total?

    You can see your point total on thankyou.com after you register.

  • How long is it before my points are reflected online?

    Points earned from purchases appear on your billing statement at the close of each billing cycle. Points earned from miles flown appear on your statement 6-8 weeks after date of travel.
    Points eligible for redemption are transferred to www.thankyou.com at the close of each billing cycle.

  • How does Citi ThankYou® Rewards work with my frequent flier program?

    You'll continue to accrue miles in any airline miles program in addition to earning ThankYou® Points. Your frequent flier program, in which you already are enrolled, is unaffected by participation in Citi ThankYou® Rewards.
