How do I earn points with my purchases through Expedia?

For every dollar you spend using the Citi PremierPass / Expedia Card on Expedia, you can earn up to 3 points.

For example, you always earn 2 points for every dollar you spend on:

	Flights
	Packages booked via the packages tab
	Expedia® Special Rate Hotels
	Activities

You’ll earn an additional point if you link your ThankYou Member Account to your itinerary* when you book:

	Hotels
	Flight + hotel on the same itinerary
	Cruises
	Packages booked via the packages tab
	Activities and services totaling at least $50
	Flight + activities and services totaling at least $50 on the same itinerary

How do I earn points for the miles I fly?

You automatically earn points for the miles you fly on any airline no matter how you book. When you purchase tickets for others, you also earn points for the miles they fly.

	With the Elite Card, earn 1 point for every 1 mile you fly.
	With the No Fee Card, earn 1 point for every 3 miles you fly.

How many points can I earn in a year?

With the Citi PremierPass / Expedia Card, you can earn a maximum of 100,000 points per calendar year; only 50,000 of these points may be earned from miles flown. With the Elite card, you can earn a maximum of 200,000 points per calendar year;only 100,000 of these points may be earned from miles flown. Points from Expedia are not subject to an annual cap.

How else can I earn points with my Citi PremierPass / Expedia Card?

For every dollar you spend on purchases wherever you use the card, you'll earn at least one point per dollar. If you chose to apply for the Elite Card, you'll earn double points on purchases at supermarkets, drugstores, gas stations, parking, and transportation.

Can I earn points when I book travel for someone else?

Yes, you earn points for booking travel for other people, even when you don’t travel with them. You earn points for the purchase of their ticket and for the miles they fly.

Do my points expire?

Points earned with your card will not expire, as long as you make one purchase with the Citi PremierPass / Expedia Card every three years. ThankYou Points earned through Expedia will not expire as long as you have qualifying purchase or redemption activity through either Expedia.com or ThankYou Network at least once every three calendar years. Please note, however, that if ThankYou Network is terminated, all accumulated ThankYou Points must be redeemed within 90 days from the termination date.

Which travel products are offered on ThankYou Network?

You can redeem points for flights, hotel stays, cruises, and more. All travel is powered by Expedia.

How do I redeem my points for travel?

Flights:
Flights are available using the online booking tool, powered by Expedia, at thankyou.com. Get the low prices you find on Expedia—Prices are converted into points at approximately 100 points per dollar based on the total dollar value of the ticket at the time of booking. The number of points you need varies based on the fare.

Other travel rewards:
Other travel rewards such as hotel stays, car rentals, travel packages, and cruises follow the variable price option. Get the low prices you find on Expedia—prices are converted into points at approximately 100 points per dollar based on the total dollar value of the ticket at the time of booking.

How do I redeem my points for merchandise and gift cards?

Merchandise, gift cards, and other items are available for redemption on ThankYou Network – www.thankyou.com. More details will be provided upon card membership.

What is ThankYou Network?

ThankYou Network is a unique rewards program that lets Members earn, pool and redeem points for great rewards. Earn points when you:

	Book eligible travel at Expedia, the only travel site that gives you ThankYou Points
	Shop online or in-store with participating retailers
	Use a Citi credit card with ThankYou Network
	Bank with Citibank and use your debit card, when you enroll in eligible checking account in ThankYou Network
	Use an enrolled FMA card linked to your Smith Barney FMA account with an activated FMA Card

How do I join ThankYou Network through Expedia?

You can sign up at expedia.com/thankyou.

Do I need to have the Citi PremierPass / Expedia.com Card to participate in ThankYou Network on Expedia?

No. You can join the ThankYou Network through Expedia without signing up for the card. But you can earn points even faster as a card member.

Am I automatically registered for ThankYou Network when I receive a Citi PremierPass / Expedia.com Card?

Yes. But if you have not received your ThankYou Member Account Number when you want to book your travel, then in order to earn additional points from Expedia you may need to enroll in ThankYou Network through Expedia as well.

I have multiple ThankYou Member Accounts, what do I do?

General Questions

How long does it take to get my application approved?

Your application may be approved instantly, however, in some cases, we will need more time to process your application. In that instance, you’ll be notified of your status by mail within 30 business days.

If you’re instantly approved online your account may also be available for immediate use at Expedia, provided that you are given instant authorization:

1. If you are Instantly Authorized - you will have a temporary credit line that you can use immediately to book your travel at Expedia. You’ll be given a permanent card number, a temporary spending limit, temporary expiration date, and your temporary credit card verification (CCV) number. You can begin using your card information immediately to make purchases at Expedia. Your physical card with your permanent revolving credit line will arrive in the mail in 14 days.
2. If you are not Instantly Authorized - your account will not be available for immediate use. In this case, your card should arrive in the mail within 14 days.

How do I receive $50 or $100 off my first purchase?

Whether or not you are Instantly Authorized for immediate use of the account, you will qualify to receive your statement credit when you make your first eligible purchase on Expedia. $50 (No Fee Card) or $100 (Elite Card) will be automatically credited to your statement. Please note that the discounted total will not appear during the checkout process on Expedia. Car reservations that are not booked as part of a vacation package (via the “vacation package” tab on the Expedia.com site), cruise bookings, and hotel reservations for non-“Expedia® Special Rate hotels” do no qualify.

Once I have the Citi PremierPass / Expedia.com Card, how soon can I begin earning points?

You’ll earn points towards rewards with your first purchase after your application is approved. Keep in mind that there will be a temporary spending limit in place and that it will take 14 days to receive your physical Citi PremierPass / Expedia.com Card and revolving credit line.

How do I get a complimentary companion ticket?

If you have the Elite Card, when you travel in the continental United States and Hawaii you can get a companion ticket every single time you buy a round-trip coach class excursion-fare ticket with your card for $299 or more. Companion tickets must be purchased through Spirit. Details to be provided with membership information.

Where can I see my point total?

You can see your point total on thankyou.com after you register.

How long is it before my points are reflected online?

Points earned from purchases appear on your billing statement at the close of each billing cycle. Points earned from miles flown appear on your statement 6-8 weeks after date of travel.

ThankYou Points earned from Expedia will be reflected 4-6 weeks after your trip ends. See expedia.com/thankyou for more detail.

Points eligible for redemption are transferred to thankyou.com at the close of each billing cycle.

How does ThankYou Network work with my frequent flier program?

You’ll continue to accrue miles in any airline miles program in addition to earning ThankYou Points. Your frequent flier program, in which you already are enrolled, is unaffected by participation in ThankYou Network.
