New JFK terminal has all the trimmings
American’s new 1.5 million-square-foot, world-class terminal at New York's JFK International Airport is designed to help customers move quickly through the arrival and security process
With 84 daily departures from JFK—more than any other airline—American Airlines and American Eagle® offer travelers a global network of routes and competitive fares to dozens of destinations from JFK, including nonstop flights to Brussels, Caracas, London, Paris, Rome, Tokyo, and Zurich.
JFK's newest terminal is its largest single-airline facility and features:
- 36 gates: 27 for jet operations, 19 of which can support international flights and nine for regional jets
- 101 ticketing positions in a 57,000-square-foot lobby
- 24 Self-Service Check-In machines and eight Curbside Check-In
- 10 security checkpoint lanes capable of processing 1,925 travelers per hour
- 60 concession spaces
- Seven baggage carousels
- 22 Customs positions and 48 Immigration positions
