Who is covered under this plan?

The person purchasing the insurance and any travel companions, provided they are licensed drivers and are listed on the rental agreement.

What does primary coverage mean and why is it so important?

Primary means that this plan pays first, regardless of whether or not you have (or have filed with) any other insurance plan. Therefore, you do not need to file a claim under your personal auto insurance (if you have such coverage).

That means that you do not risk your rates going up on your personal auto insurance solely due to filing a claim with them.

Are there limitations on what car rentals qualify for this plan?

Yes. Car rental length cannot exceed 6 months. And the travel destination must be greater than 100 miles from your home. Exotic vehicles, as listed in the description of coverage, may not be covered. For more details on terms and conditions, including exclusions, please see the Description of Coverage.

How far in advance can I purchase the plan?

Since car rentals are typically reserved within one year of pickup, this plan can only be purchased for rentals starting within a year from the date you make your insurance purchase.

If my car is stolen, do I receive reimbursement for my personal items that were in the car?

No, coverage for your personal effects is not included in this plan.

How do I file a claim?

You may either go to www.travelclaim.com, or your may call our representatives at 1-877-846-8834 or (516) 342-2500.

What documentation is needed for my claim?

A copy of police reports, accident reports from the car rental company and any receipts and invoices for charges incurred.
