Do I need to contact Expedia to confirm my booking? Most of the time, you don't need to call us. As soon as the booking process is complete, we'll send you an e-mail confirming your booking. Occasionally, however, an airline may take up to 24 hours to confirm a flight. If this is the case, we'll let you know right away. Check your itinerary 24 hours after your booking to make sure it has been confirmed by the airline. Here's how to check your itinerary online:

Where do I confirm my reservation? All flights should be confirmed with the airline directly. We recommend that you do so at least 24 hours prior to departure for domestic flights (72 hours for flights to Hawaii and international destinations). You'll need to call the airline directly. For contact information, please see our " On certain flights, the airline will allow Expedia to request seats on your behalf (via our Seat Pinpointer tool), but these are only requests, and need to be verified with the airline. You can access Seat Pinpointer during the booking process or on any booked itinerary (available via the "My Itineraries" link in the blue bar at the top of any page). If the airline has made the seating chart available to us, Seat Pinpointer will display seating information and allow you to request a particular seat. If no charts are available, we will send a generic request with your seating preference to the airline for you.
