Calgary's premier showcase of both art and history is ranked among the top museums in Canada. Along with traveling exhibits, the Glenbow has comprehensive displays devoted to Alberta's First Nations inhabitants, early European settlers, and latter-day pioneers. One notable exhibit allows visitors to experience being a child in western Canada in the last century. The mineralogy collection and the cache of arms and armor are superb. A food area serves quick fresh meals or snacks. COST: $10.
