For a taste of how the locals party, head to the Latin clubs. Discos generally start jumping by about 10:30. For a taste of old Mexico, take in an evening of dance and music with the Folkloric Ballet dinner show at the Convention Center. Or dine and dance under the stars aboard a dinner cruise on the Cancún Queen or Columbus.

To mingle with locals and hear great music for free, head down to the Parque de las Palapas Friday night at 7:30. The live music ranges from jazz to salsa to Caribbean.
