Best time to visit Jamaica
The Caribbean’s third-largest island, Jamaica is a gateway to adventure. Rafting excursions, hiking, windsurfing, golfing … you'll find it all here. Be sure to sample the local cuisine—especially the tongue-tingling jerk chicken—and chase it down with a cool Jamaican rum drink or a steaming cup of Blue Mountain java.
Peak season: Winter is generally the driest season in the Caribbean and also the most popular, as travelers flee the chilly weather up north. December through mid-April is the busiest period, with January being the peak month.
Value season: Following the Easter holiday, the weather warms up and hotel rates cool down. Hurricane season (June–November) brings even lower rates.
