Best time to visit Greece and Turkey
Greece and Turkey offer a myriad of historical and cultural treasures. Summer brings vacationing Europeans and higher rates. Visiting in spring and fall will offer cooler weather and smaller crowds.
Greece: Spring is ideal, with fewer tourists, lower rates, and plenty to see. February brings Carnivali and April brings Greek Easter. In the cold months of winter, transportation to the island is limited and many hotels and sights close.
Turkey: Late spring and early fall offer temperate weather, smaller crowds, and often lower travel rates. As is true in most of Europe, July and August bring crowds and higher prices.
