The Nakagawa family has been running this home-based eatery and aquafarm since the early 1920s. The decor is bare-bones, with plastic chairs and wooden tables, but Seaside serves some of the best and freshest fish on the island. Locals travel far for the fried aholehole (young Hawaiian flagtail). Not a fish eater? Try the grilled lamb chops, pasta, or chicken. Arrive before sunset and request a table on the patio for a view of fishponds and egret roosting.
