Best time to Visit Hawaii
There's no such thing as a bad time to visit Hawaii, though August and September are the hottest months. You'll pay more and encounter crowds at popular beaches from mid-December to March, and again during the summer when families vacation together on the islands. The spring and fall months are the ideal time for a visit, with great weather, lower rates, and plenty of room for you to relax on the beach. If sun-worshipping on sandy beaches is your goal, stick to the southern shores—the north shore of each island gets more rain than its southern counterpart.
Peak season: Mid-December to March, as sun-seekers fill the islands, and again during the summer, when the kids are out of school.
Value season: April–May and mid-September–November are great times to visit—the weather is mild, the winter storms have calmed, and the crowds have dispersed.
