A large tree extends from the dining-room floor through the roof, local artwork adorns the walls, and salsa music often plays in the background. This is the place for cheap, down-to-earth Mexican food: enchiladas, carne asada (grilled strips of marinated meat), and chiles rellenos (stuffed, batter-fried chili peppers). The restaurant is hugely popular; you may need to wait a short while for a table, especially for breakfast, which begins at 9 AM. Service is excellent.
