Les Salons du Palais-Royal Shiseido is a magical boutique with marble floors and lilac walls that open to contain the entire Shiseido cosmetic and skin-care line. But that's not why people flock here. They come because every year Shiseido's creative genius Serge Lutens dreams up two new scents, which are then sold exclusively in this boutique. There are now 18 parfums and each is wonderfully different from the over-marketed scents out there. Sample the latest, Vetiver Oriental, or classics like Chergui, named after a desert wind in Tunisia, the sweet almond and vanilla scent of Ralat Loukoum, or the classic Rose de Nuit.
