Lodging
Overview

Lodgings, including B&Bs, pensions, and hundreds of time-share condos, can be booked through Whistler Central Reservations (604/932-4222; 604/664-5625 in Vancouver; 800/944-7853 in the U.S. and Canada).

Price categories are based on January-to-April ski-season rates; rates are somewhat higher during Christmas and spring break and can be slightly lower in the summer. Many Whistler lodgings require minimum stays, especially during the Christmas season. Also be aware that Whistler Village has some serious nightlife. If peace and quiet are important to you, ask for a room away from the main pedestrian thoroughfares or consider staying in one of Whistler's residential neighborhoods outside the village.

Most small inns and B&Bs in the province ban smoking indoors; and virtually all hotels offer no-smoking rooms.

Prices are for a standard double room, excluding 10% provincial accommodation tax and 7% GST, in Canadian dollars.
