Amazing stay..up until check-out time.

This hotel is definitely amazing. The rooms, the intimate pool setting, and location are all great. Steve at the front desk was extremely accommodating, and he is definitley the best that we have ever come across. The room we stayed in was the Tower Duplex suite. We booked a non-smoking room (although we are smokers), as we do not like the smell of smoke in our room. We definitely made sure that our smoking sessions occured outside the room (yes, it’s a nasty habit). Upon check-out, we were surprised that we were charged a huge amount for apparently "smoking in our room". I asked the gentleman at the front desk (who was NOT Steve by the way) why we were getting charged. His response: the cleaner said that the room smelt like smoke, and that they had to do extra cleaning to the room due to the ’smell of the smoke’. How is this possible when we didn’t? Due to time constraints (we had to catch a flight), we couldn’t stay and question this..lucky for them, because I was EXTREMELY aggrovated. Although this hotel is amazing, this ONE incident will cause us to probably never return, and we will definitely NOT be reccomending this hotel to any of our friends. We definitely did not appreciate being called ’liars’ and being charged a few hundred dollars for something we did not do.

Found a Miami Beach home

We have locked into Anglers - it is the first place in Miami Beach that acts like they want our business. Service is superb by a well trained and caring staff. This is hard to find otherwise in Miami Beach. After trying numerous others, this is where we stay.

Miami native was pleasantly surprised

I had never heard of this hotel, but found it on expedia.com I was so surprised when I arrived. I am a Miami native, and I have been to south beach a thousand times, but I had never noticed the hotel. It is in a great location, close to everything. The hotel is very nice, the perfect mix of modern and charm. The room was super clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very nice and helpful. I will recommend this hotel to others and stay here again in the future. My only complaint would be that the valet takes a long time to get your car. I am not sure where they park it, but it must be a few blocks away. He took about 7 - 10 minutes to come back with my car. That won’t stop me from staying here again though.... I was pleasantly surprised with this boutique resort.
